@PackerRick Deleted post? Stop messing with the multiverse!
Hey saw a report on the inter webs today that an NFC team is making a pitch for Rodgers. Sorry, no link.
Hope that is true, please get a couple more too.
ESPN today said itβs the Niners
No way...it's Jets or retire. No way he's playing for any OC other than Hackett. He's his binkie.
Don't care if it makes sense or is even true. Just the threat will make the jests squirm. Nice play Gute!

Kyle Shanahan is the defacto OC and former QB Brian Griese is the QB coach
GB would needs (3) 3rds + a player + 2024 1st rounder
Here's the depth chart if you wanna go shopping for a premium player
Didn't you say Kittle was meant to be a Packer ?
wouldn't the statue of Curly Lambeau at his field be just as good as bringing in Matt Ryan?
Losing this trade would be the most Jets thing ever. Iβll be laughing my ass off at all those cocky Jets fans if that happens. LeVerAgE!π

They'd be like, WTF do we do with Lizard now?

Send him to Frisco
Rodgers is not capable of staying quiet if more teams enter the discussion. He can't let someone else control his fate.
I think he's very capable of staying quiet if it suits his interests. Revisiting the McAfee interview he mentions other teams were interested in his services at 39:00 minutes.

Theyβre trying to dump WR Auyck
This is absolutely fantastic news if the Niners are interested- real or perceived.
If itβs real, the Niners are more equipped to send back a player or players and picks. Aijuk and a couple of 3rds this year and conditional pick 2 or 1 next year might be better than just the Jets 13th overall pick. Aijuk is dirt cheap this year and while his 5th year option isnβt cheap (14M in 2024) itβs still reasonable for a guy that caught 70 passes and had 1,000 yards this past year.
Now, if itβs just a smokescreen thatβs OK too because it should motivate the Jets to quit fucking around and give the Packers what they want.
If the deal falls through for the NYJ they are absolutely screwed for 2023. Sure, they can draft a QB or trade for Lamar Jackson but neither option is as certain as getting Rodgers.
I donβt know. Rodgers was kinda mad that the Niners did not draft him when they could and he wanted to go there. That might be an impediment. And I donβt see them having much draft capital. I also donβt see them giving up a low cost player. In any case I am ok with a smokescreen and I like the thinking.
That regime in SF is long gone. Nothing left there to burn 12's butt other than that D.
If you believe the reports, the Niners inquired about Rodgers prior to drafting Lance. Iβm sure Rodgers would have liked to join SF.
Too bad they didnβt listen.
Any thought Shanny is helping his buddy LaFleur out a bit by βputting it out thereβ even if itβs baseless?
Rodgers would go to the Niners in a heartbeat, probably his #1 choice. I've felt all along the Niners could be a player in trade talks even though they don't have much draft capital this year. With Purdy and the unproven Lance injured they brought in San Darnold. What does that say about their confidence in the QB position on their roster?

He was pretty okay (unil he wasn't) with one guy from that group to go win the Owl.
He let that guy know about it too. Repeatedly
Work it!
It would be schadenfreude if the Patriots enter trade discussions for Arod because the Jets low-ball offers have delayed the deal. Apparently they're not happy with Mac Jones and have cap space. It would be the most entertaining outcome; imagine the Jets fans and NYC media meltdowns.
Rodgers can't go to NE because he can't win 6 Super Bowls there
The comparisons would be endless and even more nauseating than they are now

But if he went to NE and won a SB, he could argue that he would have also won several more SBs had he played his entire career in NEβ¦..and heβd probably be correct.
