The Packers probably want to stand firm on the demand for the 2024 first round pick, because they can't afford to sign a crap ton of high round draft picks this year given salary cap constraints.  The conditional stuff whether Rodgers plays for 2 years or not should be addressed through a Jets contract re-negotiation with Rodgers, not Packers draft picks.  If the Packers can get the Jets 3rd rounder this year (per the original deal parameters), great.  2nd rounder this year even better.  I don't think getting the deal done before this year's draft is THAT big of a driver but I don't know in what rounds the Packers see the greatest value in this draft.

Getting the Jets third-round pick this year might be tough, considering it belngs to the Cleveland Browns.

This one is from an article at The Athletic  ( paywall)

It shows the relative difference between a QB/offense and their respective
D and Special Team's. Some pretty sizable gaps

USA Today says Titans are reaching out to Packers about Rodgers.

I hope so. You know there is a team out there somewhere that thinks he's worth more than the Jets do. I'd really like to see this turn into a learning experience for e the Jets.

Woodie has cold feet because Rodgers said he was 90% retiring. Why doesn't Woodie just contact Rodgers and clear that up? Probably because he already has and Rodgers is telling him to holdout so the Jets can draft a LT at #13. I would sure like to see this blow up in both of their faces.

In that are from last week, Bak was directly quoted as referring to the Packers as "they" instead of "we". Still wonder of the Jets gave a list of players they want to draft at 13, and if that/those player(s) aren't there, the Jets get AR and Bak, and the Packers get 13 plus other picks.

Woody has cold feet.  Really?  He didn’t know that before or after visiting him in Malibu?  Does he live in a cave?

Fuck him and the Jets.  He and Rodgers are jerking the Packers around.   If I’m GB I’m calling other teams right now.  Titans?  Niners?  Make an offer.  The Jets are so screwed this season if 12 isn’t on that team.

And given Baks recent comments maybe he should go as well.  Referring to your current team as they.  Good one.

Yeah, I didn't think of the cap hit.  They would have to create about $13+ million which is probably no doable.

I just thought it was really odd he referred multiple time to "they" meaning the Packers.

I would like this one assuming the Packers also get something next year, say a #2 with an escalator.

“I think this will come down to the wire. The Packers aren’t going to budge, the Jets are. I think Green Bay ends up swapping pick 15 for pick 13 and getting a second-rounder to boot.”

Jets starting to resemble Viking behavior.

Can the Packers afford the cap hit by trading both Rodgers and Bak?

Mid-Season for Buck Cherry. I think.

Would probably be about his highest value for trade comp but they better be damn sure their replacement LT can handle a full workload protecting J-Lo

$38 M in dead cap says unlikely. Bakh structured his deal so that he isn't trade-able and that's probably not a coincidence.

No clue why some fans want to dump an elite LT, but I'd happily dump them for a ham sammich.

You have an idea why they want to dump him. You just don’t like it. 😊

Proof is in the pudding though. Bahk is at OTA’s. The man is committed to the cause. Next!

OL and running game is key to Love have any success, growing and gaining confidence.  I understand people questioning having to pay top dollar if they aren't going to be playoff competitive, but unless they are doing a full rebuild which I don't think they are, Bahk is a key piece to keep around.  Glad they were able to extend Jenkins too.

Bakh's attendance at OTAs could certainly be construed as evidence that, despite what he said last week in the interview, he does not actually believe "they" have constructed a team in GB that is going to struggle on the field in 2023.

Then again, Bakh's 2023 workout bonus = 700K.

Could that tidy sum possibly be motivating Bakh to attend OTAs?

Again, Bakhtiari did not infer that the Packers would stink in '23. He was talking hypothetically about how the FO might be approaching the Rodgers trade negotiations. Using suppositions on how they (FO) might be looking at things.
