In other news, Bill Barnwell”s name came up for random employee drug testing today.
What am I missing by SEA getting in on the deal? Looks like they send a one but for what?
Seahawks receive a 2023 second-round pick (No. 42) from the Jets and a 2023 second-round pick (No. 45) from the Packers.
When I read that I thought that was the dumbest trade idea I’ve heard in a while. I hope there is no truth to it.
The Packers giving up anything other than Rodgers, is beyond dumb.

Yup, they are getting tired of drafting busts, and this QB class is far from great.

I must be really slow. What does Seattle give up for those 2 picks? Or does GB and NYJ just send those picks to SEA as a gift?
utterly confused
Next, Heavy will have GB giving assets to all of the other teams just to get rid of Rodgers. Like some sloppy dimwit getting a train run on them. No respect!

He thinks he is Sonny Weaver Jr
That scenario is bizarre.
There's no incentive for the Packers to do business with Seattle, other than giving them a draft pick for the pure hell of it, apparently.
I guess that would be a sweet deal for NYJ, but again, there's no incentive for the Pack to create extra value for the Jets.
And why would Seattle want to give up a first round draft pick? Unless they're throwing Pete into the deal....

Defund 12
I was watching the NFL Network, last night, when their Draft Show was on. A ticker ran across the bottom of the screen saying GBP and NYJ have re-opened their negotiation talks. No other info given, on that. BTW, their live Mock Draft had Dalton Kincaid going to GB at pick #15.
I have to admit this....I never, ever thought Rodgers would go out like this. I thought as an observer and ultimate benefactor of the Favre exit debacle that Rodgers would handle his eventual exit and legacy with whatever the opposite was of what Favre did. Call it "class" or "professionalism" or whatever.
The situations are not necessarily comparable other than the commonality that the whole exit process has turned into one big fuckin dumpster fire. I was 100% wrong on anything 12 might have learned from Favre's exit from GB, and won't ever bet against what human nature compels people to do when they feel unwanted and unappreciated.

Thrown in a bunch of cash, chicks and hero worship and almost anyone ends up thinking their shit doesn't stink!
I think AR has handled it differently than Favre. Favre went out with scorched earth on Lambeau burning everyone and everything he could. He felt Rodgers was beneath him and never offered any kind of assistance. When he was ready to come back he went on Gretta shows and blasted Murphy, Thompson, McCarthy and cried how he has been offended. Screw him and I loved Favre. Rodgers has been much more appreciative of the organization and community even as recently as his appearance on McAfees show. He and Jordan have been in constant contact and he has at any given time showed Love for Love. AR has been mostly quiet since the team told him they were ready to move on. He has handled this as well as any player could especially one of his stature. He gets my respect for the way he has done it. Favres exit was a shit show.
Rodgers has been acting closer to Favre than to Joe Montana.
And with the talk of the trade could be finished by draft day 2 we need to pick up the pace on this thread if it is going to make to 200 pages before the trade is finalized.
It's just the drama of the whole damn thing!
The NFL marketing machine loves off-season drama. Theories and conjecture are as valuable as facts and are endlessly more plentiful.
Hell, with the draft approaching it would be irresponsible not to speculate rampantly.

I just don't see that. Favres whole agenda when he left Green Bay was to get to Minnesota and torture the Packers and their fans. I cheered wildly when the Saints pummeled him in the championship game. (even tho the coach got fired for it) I will cheer wildly for Rodgers whereever he goes to have success except when he plays the Packers. He deserves another Super Bowl on his resume because of the front office and coaching inadequacies of Green Bay. He gets no hate from me.
Did I say anything about hate? Montana accepted the trade to K C and never really said a word. Rodgers goes on Macafee, bad moths the front office, and makes other comments. Which is closer to Favre leaving Green Bay than it was to Montana leaving San Fran. When a player thinks he is bigger than the franchise he needs to go. And that is exactly what Rodgers and Favre have done.
Not saying he would have been more vocal, but Montana did not have the 24hr social media saturation to deal with that Rodgers does. Montana was plenty bitter about what happened but few experienced that side of him when it was happening. There definitely would have been more sticks poking the bear if that had happened today. Rodgers has, though in a limited and focused way, sought out platforms to express his opinions.
Favre was calling around to coaches of teams the Packers were about to play - offering inside info on audibles, play calls and deciphering the Packers offense.
Hell hath no fury like a hillbilly scorned
Bert is a pathetic piece of shit as a human being - and that's before we even get to the welfare fraud.
But we don't know what Rodgers might do in the future.
Good point. We Don’t get mad enough about what Aaron might do in the future
Bump for page count!

Aaron ain't done yet.

He'll do a podcast about alien invasions, how jet contrails contain mind-controlling chemicals, and probably do a ghee cleanse on camera.
He's just a weird, weird guy. He might talk about how things were in Green Bay in great detail once he's gone, but it will have no affect on any games the Packers are playing and his super-secret hand signals will probably go with him. He might embarrass Mark Murphy by revealing what he thinks really happened in Green Bay, but he'd be doing a public service for those of us that are Packers' owners.

My day is completely ruined. I'm mad as hell thinking about Rodgers maybe spray painting "the Packers suck" on The Statute of Liberty at some possible point in the future. I mean, what if he doesn't even capitalize the P? And what if he signs it, Bears Ownership? Eff him, Eff football, Eff it all.
