This Burrow kid from LSU looks great. Is he going to be 1st qb taken? Tua from Alabama was supposed to be but he was hurt again today. Burrow throws a really nice ball and can run a bit. Kid reminds me of Rodgers with his accuracy.

Burrow, Tua and Herbert are projected to be really good I think.  Tua will fall a bit due to injury.  I think Fromm has a chance too.  There's a good crop of QB's coming out for sure.

When I have watched Herbert he throws accurately when he sets his feet.  On the run his throws are all over the place.  And he isn't a fast runner.  In the pros, accuracy on the run is required.  I don't know if that can be taught.

What the reporters are nitpicking Burrows on is that he is too old. He's 24. The reporters say ARod had two seasons under his belt by the time he was 24. Burrows looks really good! Tua is out for the rest of the season, from what I've read, with that hip injury.

Looks like 16-20 weeks of rehab

Probably miss the combine but be ready to go for a private workout (Early April?)

I think this is the same injury that ended Bo Jackson's career. Obviously have advanced medical techniques today versus when Bo Jackson got hurt.

Funny right now the Niners and the Raiders are both on.

The only real receiver for the 8-1 Niners?  Deebo Samuel, the rookie who the iron-clad pre-draft law last year was, he absolutely had to go in the second or 3rd round at the earliest.  That was it, that's where he was graded, and you had to stick with that or you're a glue-sniffing idiot.  Meanwhile, as a rookie, he's the only real receiver they have right now (Sanders injured).  Starting as a rookie.

Also meanwhile, for the Raiders, rookie Josh Jacobs is like their whole offense, and they got to pick him because the were picking in the 20's, and that's where he was slotted to go.  That was the law, and any GM who would have picked him earlier would have had his house firebombed.  And now he's tearing it up.

So it begins.  God help us, so it begins.  I really do love it.

If Tua has AVN in the femoral ball, like Jackson did, he won't  play again. I don't think they've developed anything new in the past 10 years that is better than the FVFG procedure for femoral ball AVN.

Normally I would say to be all over drafting Tua if he falls to the Packers in the late 1st round.  I guess a lot would depend on what is the extent of the injury but I personally would look more toward inside linebacker, a RT to replace Bulaga, WR, or TE

This team is in a soft rebuilding that’s ready to make a huge leap with good drafting, we do not need to draft a player that can’t contribute his first year or if he ever plays again. I say pass!

We need to address ILB, OL & DL depth, WR and QB depending on who is available at our picks in the 2020 draft. Gute's willingness to venture into FA will also impact our draft.  Will Gute and Co. keep Martinez? Will they trade him? Whatever Gute and Co. decides to do with Martinez, they will need to look at drafting an ILB in the first round, IMO. Right now, for QB, Tua looks like damaged goods. Why take a chance on him and blow a first round draft pick, if he might not  play for us, ever?

WR, ILB, OT, DL, CB, RB, OLB, TE.

This is going to be a wr heavy draft.

Not sure about ILB. Probably need to move a guy but I hate when they try that at ILB. Those guys need feel that comes with experience.

GB needs lots of positions. Another really good DL or CB could transform that side.

A bell cow type back who can tote it 20x a game would be great.

And speed, speed, speed especially if it comes with size.

Bigger and faster and smarter helps too.

DL OL WR ILB in whatever order the right picks fall.

Must keep building a fortress around AR and providing more weapons.

DL is close but KC desperately needs a running mate to bring that side of the trenches to fruition.  And an impact ILB to knock all the strikes out of the park that the DL set up for him.

Bummer about Tua.  Good news though - while it sounds like the initial injury was similar to Bo Jackson's, there was a huge difference in identifying the injury and treating it.  I read that Bo's hip popped back in pretty quick so it wasn't known what the real damage was, while Tua was rushed to a hospital immediately.  Hopefully it works out, hate seeing a guy injured like that before he can cash in.

Sounds like the 2020 WR draft class is reminiscent of the 2017 RB draft class (Fournette, McCaffrey, Cook, Kamara, Mixon, Mack, Hunt, Jones, Conner, Cohen).  So much depth, especially at the top.  That alone makes me want them to focus on WR, since it's a huge need and a good one will definitely get pushed down to the bottom of the first.  If not, just draft OL (preferably OT, even if Bulaga is back).  Rodgers will only get less mobile so gotta keep him upright.

Apparently, there's a few really good MLB's coming out this year.  Kenneth Murray out of Oklahoma, Dylan Moses out of Alabama and Curtis Weaver out of Boise State top the list.

For you Badger fans, Zach Baun is ranked decent as well.

For you Arizona lovers, the entire team sucks and there isn't a draft prospect to speak of.

Yeah Murray from Oklahoma is a missile. Seems like a guy who will test well that will probably get picked before GB picks. There are a few guys I like right now (beyond the obvious ones) who might be available in the mid/late 20's:

Day 1:

  • Texas OT Sam Cosmi...has kind of a Chad Clifton vibe, looks like he could be a good candidate to sit behind Bulaga for a year or two.
  • TCU WR Jalen Reagor...faster version of Randall Cobb, kid is a weapon
  • Bama WR Henry Ruggs...polished version of Will Fuller, comparable to Amari Cooper
  • Bama DL Raekwon Davis...hard to say how high/low he will go, but this dude is a dog against the run, absolute beast in the middle
  • Clemson LB/S Isaiah Simmons...Thomas Davis 2.0, kid is a force in the middle of the field as a LB or a Safety

Day 2:

  • Auburn OT Jack Driscoll...Bulaga clone IMO.
  • USC WR Michael Pittman Jr...underrated WR who suffers from inconsistent QB play, think he could start day 1
  • Michigan CB Lavert Hill...pretty solid in man coverage, needs some polish but has speed and is aggressive with the ball

Day 3:

  • Tennessee WR Jauan Jennings...big time leader, play reminds me of James Jones

I'm hoping Murray drops as the position isn't deemed worthy of a high first round pick with the thinking evolving that that's where you take a QB or an Edge Rusher, even if it's a reach. Guard is seldom taken there either.

He's been a pretty good LB for them in his short career. Had a strong rookie year, production has dipped some this year, but he's still playing good ball. I don't think anyone would call him a reach.

Bears biggest issue is losing Akiem Hicks. It would be equivalent of Packers losing Kenny Clark. Can't replace those guys because they wreck offensive game plans.

Weaver is an OLB/DE...also, he's perpetually injured. Hard pass.

Yep, that's hurt Mack, Smith and everyone else behind him.
