Bears hire another ST coach…come on home Coach Bisaccia

Packers, finally, officially announced the departure of Drayton just yesterday, even though the report had been out there for nearly a week.

We'll prolly here about Bisaccia next Friday, while he is likely signed already, or at the latest will be tomorrow.

MiLF, and maybe with a comment from AR, is going to get someone he wants/likes.

Times, and the culture, are changing.

So let’s summarize:

A. You either think Rodgers has covered up an otherwise shitty team.

B. You think Rodgers is a shitty QB who only performs in the regular season.

More like you have a HOFer QB with undeniable talents that covers up the warts of a poor organization with gaudy regular season stats and wins but when it really counts all those warts are front and center, including the one on the HOFer QB's ass.

The kicker is Rizzi is a better ST coach.  Players love Bisaccia apparently but it's not like he was an over the top ST coach.  He'd be light years better than anything the Packers have had but they could've had a legit, top tier ST coach for less and pissed it away.

Stumbling over dollars chasing after pennies.

They didn’t talk about that in WMM’s weekend management seminar.

Rodgers, just like Favre, had plenty of warts on his ass.  Both were major chokers in the playoffs.

But hey, blame it on some special teams bullshit.

You want to bankrupt the franchise and run it back with 12?  Why?  He’s anti clutch in the playoffs.   And yes Jordan Love looks like a bust but you give in to Rodgers now? As stupid and inept as the FO has been you drink the kool aid and bring him back and mortgage the cap to buy into the fantasy he’ll get more rings fuck that.

The only move for Rodgers to return is with a hometown discount. But unlike Brady, his overrated ass will balk so just trade him to the highest bidder.  I don’t care what team or conference.  Dude ain’t winning another Super Bowl.

Yes, the unit I said weeks ago would cost this team in the playoffs.  They succeeded in a fashion I could only imagine.

Keep kissing Rodgers and his playoff failing ass.

Obviously the STs were a disaster this year but tell me what exactly the regular season MVP did to help them beat the 49ers.  When you have that answer let me know.

Rodgers has 2 signature playoff wins - against ATL and Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl year.

Other than that?  It’s basically a kick in the nuts.

But keep projecting and blame the FO or coaching or defense or STs.  He’s sucked more often than not in the playoffs as well.

Tell me, you endlessly babble about the cap.  What's the goal?  Best looking cap situation?  You must be Russ Ball's biggest fan.  That's what it's all about amirite!  Sweet real estate deals and hot contract numbers?

Pretty much everyone from Brandt to even the dopes in the FO said the Packers can negotiate around the cap to keep the majority of the team together.

You're so fucking delusional.  Go read my post again you obsessive twat.

Up until last year I gave Rodgers the benefit of the doubt.  Two home playoff losses?   No more.

People love to babble about β€œwe need him back to compete for a title”

Really?

I hate Russ Ball and Murphy and I think MLF is overrated as hell but facts are facts. Rodgers sucks in the playoffs.  Feel free to debate it but he’s not the same dominant guy in the postseason and I’m tired of his bullshit.

NO FUCKING SHIT!  THAT'S THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF MY ARGUMENT!  BUILD A COMPLETE TEAM AROUND RODGERS AND QUIT EXPECTING HIM TO MAKE EVERYTHING ALL WARM AND FUZZY!

GET IT?!  BUILD. A. COMPLETE. TEAM. AROUND. RODGERS.

MATTHEW FUCKING STAFFORD IS IN THE SUPER BOWL BECAUSE HE HAS A COMPLETE TEAM AROUND HIM!  HE IS A GOOD ENOUGH QB TO WORK INSIDE A COMPLETE TEAM AND MAKE IT TO THE SUPER BOWL AND LIKELY WIN IT.  A COMPLETE TEAM.  A COMPLETE TEAM.

Jesus fucking Christ.

If Rodgers wants to take a 50% pay cut like Brady or Stafford I’m all ears.  Until then, it means nothing.

I’m so glad Rodgers did everything in his power w/his contract to free up money to pay others around him.  Or not.

12 has made a shit load of money.  Good for him.  He’s all about the team and winning.

He cleared 10 million at the start of the season.

Brady has never taken a pay cut.  Stafford has never taken a pay cut.  They played and got paid out according to their contracts.  Is Rodgers reworking his contract a "pay cut"?

JFC

So Brady didn’t take a hometown discount several years in New England or with Tampa in 2021 that allowed them to retain 22 starters?

All Rodgers did was rework his deal to allow both parties to separate after 2022, but hey pay the guy 46M this year.

Did I say JFC?

Stafford is making 23M this year and next.  Quick math- that’s a lot less than Rodgers.

Rodgers contract

Aaron Rodgers’ cap hit was set to jump in 2021

In 2018, Rodgers signed a four-year, $134 million contract extension. The deal had a $57.5 million signing bonus and $78.7 million fully guaranteed at signing. A further $19.5 million became guaranteed in 2019, totaling up to $98.2 million in guarantees.

The Packers and Rodgers restructured his deal in December of 2019. In this restructure, $14.26 million of his 2020 roster bonus was converted into a signing bonus. This move decreased Rodgers’ cap charge by $11.4 million in 2020.

How does Rodgers’ salary cap number come about in 2021?

Following the restructure, Rodgers’ salary cap number for 2021 will be $27.5 million, per Spotrac. That is down $9.7 million from the previous number of $37.2 million.

That $27.5 million is made of several elements. Rodgers’ base salary for 2021 will be $1.1 million, and he has already received a $6.8 million roster bonus this past offseason. There is another $500,000 in a workout bonus before the rest of the cap number is made up of prorated bonus money. Another $11.5 million is from the original signing bonus he received, and there is a further from $4.8 million from the change in the contract this week. There is also another $2.85 million in a restructure bonus from 2019.
