Thanks Boss, but I was referring to All Pro Guard, Evan Mathis who the Eagles are shopping since the Combine. Although at this point, it could refer to any Eagle

"NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Eagles are working behind the scenes to trade two-time Pro Bowl guard Evan Mathis, according to a source."

Awesome Thanks for the re-re-correction

Maclin has Rosenhaus as his agent too.

How do I get Rosenhaus' job?

Wish GB got involved in that if that was the cost. Should be able to get Raji for cheaper though...and he's younger

Likely get Guion and Raji for barely much more tbh. Guion's high life cost him a few million

Whoa whoa! More confusion! Quick, boss, call Ted!

@CharlesRobinson: Contrary to reports, tight end Jordan Cameron will be signing with #Dolphins - not #Browns. Contract details are being finalized right now.

Indeed, c-boy

I thought he was done for years ago. I thought his very last straw was the recent season where coaches were getting fired after losing to the Packers. But he managed to not only hang on, but somehow win 2 Super Bowls. Just goes to show ya....

I can't defend Quarless.  He had a chance last year to show it and I didn't see it.  Just a flash every now and then.  next

If he's on the team next year it won't bother me either.  I think he probably does other things the right way just fails to catch consistently.  maybe he'll get it.

There's gotta be more to this Knighton situation other than "he's out of shape". He's a NT and it's the offseason of course he's out of shape...but that couldn't be the reason why he had to settle for just a 1yr/$4 mill deal, especially after the year he had

Seems weird

Pot Roast was HS teammate and best buds with Washington's DL Chris Baker who's been social media-ing his ass off lobbying for Knighton to DC. He's best man at Baker's wedding this weekend. Now reunited.

Jerry Jones commented that the cap prevented Dallas from bringing Murray back. He said without cap constraints Murray would still be a Cowboy.

Jerry didn't want to discuss that pesky 2015 $27,775,000.00 cap hit for Romo though. The $12 million he's paying Brandon Carr this year doesn't help either. Brandon Carr absolutely sucks.

The cap didn't prevent Murray from staying. Cap management prevented Murray from staying. And cap management really is the most important part of the cap.

Good call- and its what's happening around the NFL as teams play more and more nickle/dime instead of base defense. Packers only use an NT 25 % of the time.

Overall, less beef and more speed is the trend and that's why Pickett/Jolly are gone

Raji, Ngata, Wilfork, Knighton-  all were available.

NTs are getting phased out of snaps, so teams don't want to pay as much for them to stand on teh sidelines.  Its a valuable spot and everybody wants a good one - but playing less than 1/2 the snaps means you get less $$.

I don't know about that... All the guys you're mentioning were getting older. Aging DTs past their prime? Sure. Those guys are having a tough time getting work. But guys in their prime? I don't they're getting phased out at all... Raji is the youngest, but coming off major muscle injury.

One trick pony. And he's not that good at the trick.

@AdamSchefter: Big early morning move out of Tennessee: Titans reached agreement with former Redskins LB Brian Orakpo, per source.

@MikeGarafolo: Brian Orakpo's deal with the Titans: four years, $32 million base value, $35 million max, with $13.5 guaranteed, per source.

The classic Grady Jackson/Gilbert Brown style NT is definitely getting phased out. Teams are investing guys who can play multiple positions in the interior. If you're an NT you better be able to play 0, 1, 3 and maybe even some 5-tech IF you want the big dollars. Being a heavy footed run stuffer isn't enough, you better offer something as a pass rusher. Phil Taylor and Dan Williams are the last two NTs I can remember going in r1 who weren't considered pass rushing threats.

Tramon clearly the best remaining FA corner out there, now.

@RapSheet: The #Redskins are signing CB Chris Culliver to a 4-year deal, source said. Another top corner off the board.

@JasonLaCanfora: Chris Culliver will make upwards of $8M a year on his new deal with the Skins. Corners continue to get paid.

Scot McCloughan showing footballing nous long absent from the DC area. Actually filling roster holes on DL, secondary.

China doll stopgap.

@AdamSchefter: Cowboys have agreed to a two-year deal with Darren McFadden, per multiple reports.

@toddarcher: Source: Darren McFadden's 2-year deal worth up to $5.85 million. Receives $200,000 bonus.

Everyone thought Jerry was going to empty the pick vault for McFadden in 2008. It never happened so he ended up with the Arkansas consolation prize RB Felix Jones.

It's been mentioned recently that Dallas has been "disciplined and calculated" this free agency season. I think that's a bald-assed bunch of bull****.

Once Murray left because Jerry screwed up the cap and the opportunity presented itself to set the Darren McFadden travesty straight Jerry put on a hog head mask and started running around the office screaming WOOOOO PIGGGGGGGGG and no one is convincing me otherwise.

I disagree Chilli. This McFadden deal is very low risk for Jerry.

The old Jerry would have spent big money to keep Murray. Instead, they are paying 5.85 million over two years for at least a serviceable RB (and probably not much guaranteed). Murray's getting 21 million guaranteed. If McFadden is a bust, it doesn't affect anything they are doing. If Murray hits the wall, whoever follows Chip Kelly will be cleaning up that cap mess.

McFadden could be a stop-gap for AP or another RB in the draft. As often as they ran Murray last year, Jerry was pretty disciplined to not resign him as an injury waiting to happen. The smart move would be for Jerry to draft one to keep his cap in line, which means he'll go after AP and screw up his cap again. McFadden would be the third-down back with AP since AP can't even catch a cold or block at all.

I never said anything about McFadden and risk.

Old Jerry would have spent big money on Murray if not for old Jerry already spending all that money on guys like Romo, Brandon Carr, and Morris Claiborne. I mean Morris effing Claiborne is going to make $5.5 million this year!!! Again, let's not praise Jerry for new found cap discipline now that he's pissed all his cap money away.

My point on McFadden is that he's a Cowboy because he was cheap and Jerry coveted him like mad 8 years ago. Jerry loves those Razorbacks.

Here's a cool article on Free Agency, worth a couple minutes of your Friday

http://fivethirtyeight.com/fea...ukong-suh-is-cursed/

"An NFL team doesn’t win by paying players exactly what they’re worth — it wins by paying them far less than they’re worth."

"The tricky thing about the free agency game that the Dolphins are playing isn’t the worst-case scenario, which is when a team pays a big chunk of its money to a bust.

It’s that the best-case scenario is still pretty much paying $20 for a $20 bill."

Whoa. Some defensive line there.

@AdamSchefter: St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with Nick Fairley, per source.

@RapSheet: #Rams signed DT Nick Fairley on a 1-year deal worth $5M base, source said. He can make up to $7.5M in incentives. A prove-it deal.

@AdamSchefter: Rams gave Nick Fairley a one-year deal, stacking their D-line. Robert Quinn, Chris Long, Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers and Fairley.

Nice link Satori.  And this is where TT is head and shoulders above the rest of the league.  It's why the Seahawks trade isn't as good as it looks b/c they're paying a TE above market value and they gave up a center who was being paid under market value and the opportunity to draft a player in the first round who is likely be paid under market value.

Hard to figure. Ascending player only halfway through rookie contract.

Thanks, Drew.

@Rand_Getlin: Source: The #Saints are in the process of trading WR Kenny Stills to the Miami #Dolphins.
