Not sure why NE is on another level just because of a SB? They lost in the AFCC last year, just like GB did this year. If GB wins the SB next year and NE loses in the AFCC are you going to then say GB is on a higher level than NE? Yes NE accomplished more in 2014, but that doesn't mean their talent or philosophy are better overall. I think they're on par with each other, both have had consistent, sustained success for many years with championships in the last 5 years. Same goes for Baltimore and Seattle, although I would like to see Seattle sustain their consistent success after they have to pay a franchise QB...their team building philosophy is in line with the consistently top teams in the league (NE, GB, BAL), but they're unique in that they have extra money to throw at their needs. They don't have to be patient with the Draft and Develop philosophy, they have the money to sign vets to hold down a spot until the rookie is ready. After Wilson gets his money I want to see how their philosophy changes and then judge them. They may be perfectly fine and keep up their high level of success.

As much as I hate to say it, Pats got it done. ( sometimes by questionable means).

Pack has been a model of consistency, but in the most recent chapter, crapped the bed.  The Super Bowl win in 2010 was fantastic, but there was/is more there for the taking. Two Championships in the last 20 years simply doesn't put us in the same tier as the Pats recent success. Hard to say as I loathe their tactics and being bed partners with Goodell and the NFL .

Finish and you can be mentioned in the same success conversation as the Patriots.

Pats did get it done.  They went for it all last year and it worked out, you usually don't see that.  But now they paid McCourty and had to let their starting CBs walk.  What was a top 3 secondary in the NFL likely moves to the bottom half of the NFL (at least today).  And BB's draft record with CBs is as bad as it gets, so it'll be interesting how they fix this.  They also lost Wilfork, likely their most important front 7 player.

The Broncos went for it all and lost, and now they're paying for it losing guys left and right.  The Patriots went for it all and won, and now they're paying for it losing guys left and right.  The difference is the ring, which is all the difference in the world.

The story is only half written, and but for a questionable non-lynch call, the Pats would be 3-5 in the SB.

As it is, they are 4-4 while the Packers are 4-1. Which would you choose ?

Which SB record is the one that "finishes" and which one comes up short ? Hmmmm

Nothing will stop the Annointers from annointing. And that's fine too.

But if you ever  wake up and find yourself in agreement with chicken-douche then you may have bigger problems than we can fix on X4.

Quoting the sage of South Carolina, WTF.

How does one's opinion about Ted Thompson enter into this at all? Is that your default mode for anyone who doesn't agree with you on an issue, "If they support TT then they don't know jack-**** about football?" Grow up.

LOL! If you ever discovered the cure for cancer you would quickly turn it into an anti-matter weapon.

Ngata is a good player.  I thought I heard that Ngata, is on the last year of his contract, and will be a FA next year.  If this is true, it's a bit of a curious move, considering that the Lions could've have had the chance to get him next year in FA?  Now, they have him, and have to work out an extension, with a player who hasn't played a down for them.

Saw something this morning that Max Unger passing what's sure to be a thorough N.O. physical isn't a slam dunk either.

Earlier today I wondered if Chip signing Bradford was part of a larger diabolical Chip Kelly like plot. He answered this question at a presser today then he didn't answer the question at all...

"We didn't bring Sam in here to be a chip. I'm the only 'chip' here." - Chip Kelly, always yuks.

Quickly followed by:

Chip Kelly said he was offered a first round pick for Sam Bradford this morning.

Chip Kelly is just ****ing with everybody now. Philly fans aren't finding any of it funny either. I'd call Chip out for raging BS on the "1st rounder for Sam" comment but I can't as long as Spielman has a job.

Colts sign Andre Johnson to a 3 year/$21 million contract which makes me wonder how much Cobb actually left on the table by coming back to GB.

It also makes me wonder why anyone would give Andre Johnson a contract like that. Maybe because New England just lost Revis and that's the team the Colts have to find a way to get past?

Monopoly money. How much is guaranteed? I doubt that he'll ever get $21 million at his age.
