FWIW, Gregg's hiring may have a bigger mistake than the decision to fire Starr. Part of the reason he was brought in was his reputation of being tough and hard-nosed, and supposedly that's just what the Packers needed. He was that indeed, but it translated poorly to the players, and we pretty much sucked the next few years until the Majik era.

Without knowing the details, my recollection is that Jefferson did not have near the stats he had while with the Chargers and I was disappointed.  I thought I heard he wasn't much of a practice player and it caught up to him.

Man, I thought the combination of Dickey throwing to Lofton, Jefferson, and Coffman was going to be unstoppable.  I recall it just did not turn out that way.

It could be worse: in German and Russian, you have to remember which case the object of the preposition takes.  And there is a substantial number of prepositions that can take different cases depending on whether there's implied motion involved.

And then there are the verbs that take a direct object in a case other than the accusative.  This is particularly bad in Russian, which has more cases than German.

Well, apparently the other guy wasn't goode enough.

Sometimes I think TT is too cute in trying to find a diamond in the rough.

Specifically, the fact that he picked Biegel when he could have picked T.J. Watt.  I see that in T.J.'s first preseason game, he got 2 sacks in the opponents' FIRST POSSESSION!  GRRRRRRR!  I hope Biegel is great, but even though it's only 1 preseason game, I saw T.J. All last season wreak havoc in the Big 10 and sincerely believe he's the real deal!

Given what I have seen from this LB group Vince Biegel can play and make a difference.  When healthy the guy is a playmaker.  But that's the issue - he's had trouble staying healthy.  

TJ Watt at 29 was one of the no brainers of the draft.   I hope like hell King and Biegel turn out well so we don't regret it but I would not bet against a Watt.

I love Ted Thompson and he's done way more good than harm but that one rankled me.  TJ Watt was obvious, his DNA unchangeable and his work ethic through the roof.  Take the best player and get the quarterback before he even throws it.

I think King is a good pick and Dom is a ****ty coordinator so none of it matters

It's always entertaining to watch Packer fans go nuts when management fails to pick a particular ex-Badger. 

Easy now.  TJ is doing the same things in preseason games vic s'oto, dezman moses and andy malumba have done.

You can paint it as homers whining all you want, Fed. The truth is, JJ WATT ripped the NFL a new Ass Hole and spat in the hole. You can't sit there and pretend that didn't happen or that you're Mr. Above-It-All Objective.  It ****ing happened and it's about to happen again.

November 26 at Pittsburgh. How about everyone take a deep breath and let's see where things stand in a few months.

I like the King pick, but I wanted Watt.  And I think we'll regret not having him. It really is JMO.

Watt isn't the missing link in GB. Neither is Biegel. King was the right play. GB needed a corner to backfill the Shields hole. 

And if Josh Jones works then Watt and Biegel are nice side stories. 

To be fair, Pistol, I'd make the same comment about Iowacheese and ex-Hawkeyes if he were still posting here. I've also made similar comments about the way people go gaga over veteran free agents whose name they recognize.
