Let’s all take a moment of silence.

is there one packer that would start for the Vikings?
Nope, not yet, they usually pick up former Packers past their prime and then use them as starters, so you’re gonna have to wait
Janis too?? I was okay with Nelson, but this is just too much.

Good for Janis. Maybe the light will go on in Cleveland for him. (LOL)
And yes, I think the Packers can find a gunner to replace him on ST's.
Hey man, gunners don't exactly grow on trees, you know? Oh wait. Hold on. The win just blew another one of those gunners out of the oak tree across the street. Carry on!

When did they join the league? Just what we need, another loser expansion team!

Ideally one that could actually contribute from scrimmage.
Let's take a moment to appreciate Janis' main contributions from scrimmage in his Packer career.
Between the playoffs regular season, Janis was active for 56 games. Let's just estimate that the offense was on field for 30 minutes of each of those games. Therefore, Janis was available to play from scrimmage for 1680 minutes of game time when the offense was on the field. In his career he had 345 receiving yards.
In the last minute of the January 2016 playoff game against the Cardinals he had 101 yards on two of the most spectacular do or die plays you'll ever see.
1 minute - 101 yards
1679 minutes - 244 yards for the rest of his career.
He outjumped a potential Hall of Fame CB (Patrick Peterson has been to the Pro Bowl every year of his 7 years in the league) for a tying TD at the gun.
I think we should talk about what would have happened to Janis' legacy had they gone for 2. 145 pages of a thread should do it this time.

That was the biggest issue with VanillaFace Run Fast Guy. He'd make some freakin' circus catches but couldn't run a 10 yard route for ****.

A turnover on every possession.
Surprised the vikings didn't sign him to be their #3 receiver. He's better than anyone else on their roster, save Thielen and Diggs, including the other clown they signed today.
BTW, they also signed an LB whose name is Reshard Cliett.
So now they have a QB whose name is pronounced "semen", and a linebacker whose name is pronounced "clit".
Can't make it up.........
Glute’s new motto: no, you’re not sticking around if you cannot contribute at the LOS. Janis was a wasted WR spot year after year. Wish him well in Cleve.

Sorry Boss, I forgot.
My favorite Journal poster...as well as my favorite human being.
This guy gets it!
$5.00 says he thinks black people "Lack the necessities" to play wide receiver.
The reporter might be Ryan Wood, but it has Nagler written all over it.
John "Jaymo" Lukas.
Raiders cut Marquette King. Go grab him GoudaKoonce!!

You’ve got a sick sense of humor Kiel.
Just 1 more.....that's really all he needs to vault himself into Bart Starr territory. Just 1 more.
I hope Pettine provides the defense.

Oscar Gamble had the necessities.

If we don't punt and don't score he will not be missed....
Marwin Evans is already passing him up on ST and he can actually play a position. I have no problem keeping a ST who excels but VanillaFace was the epitome of blue moon highlight reel.
I wouldn't have cared if they signed him to some deal commiserate with ST ability but listening the kvetching about his break out WR role, which never occurs, is tiring.
My thinking is Gustenfloofer sees there are several needs to be filled and having Janis sucking up one of those spots for fading ST play makes no sense.
I hope we can manage to win a few games this year without Janis
He was good value for a 7th rounder. ST's are part of the team as well. I watched him on a a punt coverage against The Bengals. He was great. Like a lot of times when he covered punts it took two guys to try and fight him off.It caused a fumble.
The team has moved on.

Jordy was the first to go
Janis was 2nd
Fackrell will be the 3rd
Someone should give Clay a heads up, he'll be next
Did they setup a new FEMA death camp in the area?
Lack of ability to contribute on offense finally caught up to Janis!. Perhaps the coaching staff in Cleveland can squeeze the greatness out of him that some fans are convinced is there.
I'm convinced if Clay was named Chuck and drove a pickup that he would be the favorite of Green Bay Packer fans forever.
Rodgers drives a truck....Clay flies a drone....the dog is sad.

John LukasWell, the Packers have officially lost me as a fan. They COMPLETELY blew it with Janis. They misused him for 4GD years, and now both he and Jordy are gone. Rodgers is the problem along with McCarthy who babies him. Rodgers won't throw the ball unless completely comfortable with a receiver's routes. Favre threw to anyone who was OPEN. THAT'S the difference between those 2. Rodgers is gonna get KILLED this year for hanging on to the ball too long, due to his lack of confidence in both himself AND his receivers. He's done and so are the Packers. Our new GM SUCKS!
This is comedy gold. Favre threw to anyone that was open - actually Favre threw a lot of passes to guys that weren't open. How dare Rodgers make a calculation that throwing to a guy that might not end up where Rodgers is throwing the ball too because he runs the wrong route is a bad move.
I mean, Favre only threw 336 interceptions in 302 career games. But if a guy looked remotely open (or even if there were 3 defensive guys in the area) he threw the damn ball. Rocket ball man! That's what wins games consistently.
Rodgers has thrown 78 interceptions in 149 games. At his current rate, he'll equal Favre's interception numbers after 657 career games (which will take him until the year 2049).

Highly unlikely. You cannot replace people like Janis.

There seems to be enthusiasm for him written here. https://www.totalpackers.com/2...-browns-pass-attack/
Sarcasm?
Janis always struck me as a physically gifted athlete who didn't understand the precision necessary to be a force in the NFL. Compare him to Donald Driver, who worked exceptionally hard to build his career. BTW, when will Driver be in the Packer HOF?
