Cobb not only is on the same mental wavelength with AR, he’s a pro’s pro. Have you read Training camp reports about how he’s like another coach out there working with each of the rookies? Some of you are underestimating his value. He’s a key cog for this year. Thus saith me, myself and I.

Agreed. Besides, the title of the article was click bait....if it was read, it turns out others asked, GB never offered.
Despite injuries and price, the value of Cobb goes way beyond a $. He's going nowhere.
Taysom Hill looking good for NO.
Packers trade for Antonio Morrison.
Ryan clone. Was reported that he was not quick enough for the the new scheme in Indianapolis.
That's an odd way to spell TJ Watt.
Still better than what they have on the roster.
Guys that weren't going to make the cut for either team. Win-win.
Makes you wonder how bad Burks shoulder injury is......
Mike McCarthy said the outlook on Oren Burks is better than the Packers anticipated. Shouldn't be a long-term injury.

Mike McCarthy says the Packers needed to add experience to the inside linebacker group.

Like I said somewhere else. We had a couple guys in HS that dislocated their shoulders as freshmen. One kept playing but it would pop out again from time to time. Other went from starting halfback to kicker. Neither was ever the same again. But that was decades ago and I don't know if modern medicine has found a better cure.

McCarthy just said not bad all, not a long-term concern, better than they anticipated. Great news.
Time to order his tombstone?

...sounds like Montgomery's mild ankle sprain in 2015

Joe Thomas is coming out of retirement to back up Bacteria.

I'm pretty sure the Packers have access to the best essential oils

Great move by the GM. Flipping an undrafted free agent for a former 4th rounder.
Morrison is a stocky thumper, good at filling lanes. I hear teams still run the ball now and then, we'll get more use out of him then Pip.

So you're saying there may have been medical advancements since 1940?
Clearly he mostly likes the make-up of the LB room.
You mean since the late 80s? Probably.

Yep.
Saw a rumor on Twitter that Khalil Mack is in Detroit to meet with Bob Quinn! We need our OL to stay healthy even more if this is true!
Not to mention this meeting would also be tampering unless the Raiders gave the Lions permission. Which they did not.
A Detroit radio host perpetuated a rumor about Khalil Mack over the weekend that had many Oakland Raiders fans in an uproar, but there is apparently nothing to it.
On Sunday, Dan Leach of 97.1 The Ticket WXYT said he was told by a limousine driver in Detroit that the driver had just picked up Mack and the former Defensive Players of the Year was in town to meet with Lions general manager Bob Quinn.
Since Mack is still very much under contract with the Raiders, that would be tampering unless Oakland gave him permission to meet with other teams and discuss possible trades. That almost certainly did not happen.
While the Raiders are reportedly not completely closing the door on a possible Mack trade, Kyle Meinke of MLive Media Group reports that any talk of a meeting between Mack and the Lions is nonsense
Maybe Mack missed his connecting flight to Green Bay.
The limo driver?! That’s awesome, great source!
“Yeah I just say Khalil Mack meeting Bob Quinn at the McDonalds near the stadium!”

Packers are trading QB Brett Hundley to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2019 draft pick, per @RobDemovsky and me.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 29, 2018
Like this move so much I'm putting it here too.
Even if it's a 7th then it's a win. Seattle is a better fit for him anyway, they have an offense designed around a dual threat QB, he was never going to fit in an offense that asked him to be a drop back passer.
Yay !!!
we got something of value for him. woot!
Ian Rappaport says it's a 6th. Are we sure it's "for a 2019 6th round draft pick" and not "with a 2019 6th round draft pick"? It makes more sense that we would have to pay Seattle to take him.
No way. No. ****ing. Way.
No way.
Your cup Boyleth over?
After trading Brett Hundley to the Seahawks, the Packers plan to keep both DeShone Kizer and Tim Boyle as backups on the 53-man roster barring anything unforeseen in Thursday's preseason finale, per a source. https://t.co/2YqpT9d4Hu
— Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) August 29, 2018
As @RobDemovsky points out, the plan is to keep Boyle. Was told yesterday that there was considerable interest around the league in him.

Apparently didn't want to chance the Taysom Hill experience again.
One thing you gotta call this GM since he sat down: active.
Based on his Q&A with Rob Demovsky, I get the feeling he's not done.
