If Morrison had only waited until the plane landed in Vegas...
Jordy Nelson told us that he has talked to @packers brass about signing a one-day contract and retiring as a Packer.

Cardinals’ free-agent DT Rodney Gunter is visiting today with the Green Bay Packers, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 3, 2019
Rodney Gunter would fit the Packers' theme in free agency. Get young, ascending and reliable guys. Gunter is 27, had 4.5 sacks, 11 tackles for losses and 9 QB hits a year ago and has played in all 64 games his first 4 NFL seasons.

Never heard of the DT Gunter but those numbers aren't bad.
Oh oh, the 2 Resident Purple Einstein's will get all over you for that...
If they sign Gunter, does that mean Wilkinson is out?
He had a pretty nasty injury. Gotta wonder when he will actually be ready to play.

Am I supposed to care?
Wilkinson was out last year, are they really going to miss him?
Browns signing Morgan Burnett.
Not many have transitioned from RB to OL, but good luck Eddie!
Wonder what Eddie weighs right now...

I seriously hope he can get into good enough shape so that we don't see an article about his serious health problems when's he about 40.
He seemed like a really good guy who just wasn't that into football but was so good at it he had to do it. He only made about 7 million dollars playing football. That's a lot of money to most people, but it can go fast if you no experience in budgets and have too many hangers-on so hopefully he has a good money manager that can make that work for him.
And he and his family were hurricane survivors who lived in temporary housing for years. He spent money to find them a home. Sadly, his home included home cooked meals. And many of us in the south know how delicious yet deadly they are. He seems like a big kid and a great person. I wish him well.

Of course they are.
We have a GB west and now a GB east.
It would be tough to get a GB north.

CFL maybe. The Edmonton Eskimos have our colors but they are not the best team.

No it's not ....they're called the Minnesota Vikings.
I was thinking more like the GB Wannabes.

Cleveland is more like New Green Bay.

Isn't that GB West?
mrtundra posted:
Technically, GB didn't re-sign him as much as Jake decided to play football for another year. JK was an exclusive rights free agent which GB tendered. As a tendered ERFA his choice was to sign the tender or not play football next year. Some choice. so he signed his tender.
ERFA is another way of saying they are held hostage for another year. So maybe they should be called imprisoned players.
I for one hope Eddie can get his weight down and he gets a shot to make it again.
Ugh the Browns. I am surrounded by their fans and they all seem to want to talk smack to me about how they are now GB East. I keep telling them come back to me when you actually win something.
we've seen how well that (when you actually win something) works with the dolts to the west....

Dorsey learned from Wolf's mistake - (Not giving Favre enough weapons) & in some ways TT w/Rodgers too. But get TO the playoffs first, then we'll talk about the 13 time World Champion Green Bay Packers.
Brownie fans.....
My joke of the day....
I got kicked out of the boy scouts. Got caught eating too many Brownies
I should have mentioned that my ex and my ex in laws are all huge Browns fans. So needless to say if they continued their lifetime of football misery as Browns fans that is just fine by me.

Guess he does get some respect.
The #Dolphins are signing OLB/ pass rusher Jayrone Elliott, who led the AAF in sacks with 7.5, source said.

He just used the Packers as leverage.
The Vikings are signing LB Greer Martini, a source said. Martini was with the Packers last year in training camp and was on their practice squad for part of the year. He most recently played in the AAF.

Once again, the Vikings are champions of the off-season.
They probably figured he could help with the drinks on the boat in international waters.
Gunter just wanted a butter burger and frozen custard.
Who doesn't.
First stop on every visit back to Wisconsin--Kroll's just north of Milwaukee.
Second is Culver's in Manitowoc. Butter burgers! Hmmmmm
