I may be reading between the lines too much but the reaction from other players/coaches on Love's progress seems to be cautious optimism.  All have said he's taken a jump from year 1 to 2 and has a better command of the huddle, but there's also a lot of hedging about learning day by day, slowly getting better each practice, trusting his instincts, etc.

Compare this with comments said about Dillon or Amari or Stokes which tend to be described as explosive, versatile, and the like, words that describe their athleticism and versatility on the field.

Perhaps this is just how people discuss a QB vs skill positions, but it's something I've noticed during interviews.

It's only OTAs so far so if he's doing the basics correctly and shows a year study the playbook is paying off may bode well for TC and having him really in the mix and playing at a faster speed.

Dillon, Amari and Stokes aren’t playing behind a drama Queen who will be offended if the coaching staff offers up too much praise.

Rodgers is not coming back. He nuked the relationship with his family for whatever reason and then probably nuked Danica because she was working on rebuilding that relationship. He has no problem turning his back on colleagues, family, or friends if he is slighted. The fact he and Favre are "friends" is kind of wierd knowing Favre had no time for him in his earlier career.

AR has already golfed and had conversations with Elway and that is probably where he will end up. This will be resolved before traning camp. Packers dont need this head ache to extend while they are getting ready for the season.

Good Luck Jordon Love...

The stretch is defining delusion as either optimism or pessimism.  Don't ever forget that's what fandom is.

"Talking about Aaron Rodgers" is pretty inevitable don't you think especially when you're the one drawing up the lines of pessimism and optimism?  Of course you don't.

I'm cheering for the kid because he's what's left.  I don't think it's unrealistic to be disappointed as a whole knowing your team just went from a Super Bowl contender to a soft rebuild because of the most important position in sports.

So yes, I'm looking forward to seeing what he does but wouldn't be surprised at all if Bortles is the starter come regular season.

The only thing I've read so far out of OTAs is the JSOnline "Love learns offense by taking what the defense gives him".  Nothing wrong with that.  It's what you'd expect from a technical rookie and hopefully it's the first step on helping him get over the mental dum dums.

If he's got a great oline in front of him then playing like he did in 2018 is just what the doctor ordered until he gets used to the pro game.

Rehashing the same Rodgers issue in a thread about Love is not “inevitable” unless you just want to keep talking the same mess in every thread. It’s possible to say “Love is good” or “Love sux” without any subtext or commentary about the current Rodgers situation at all.

As this long offseason has worn on, I personally am kind of looking forward to Love's opportunity that lies ahead.  If nothing else, he seems like a guy that has quietly went about his business and tried to focus on making himself better and staying away from any drama (which is nice for a change!!!).

He's going to have some drama coming his way that will not be of his own doing and I wish nothing but the best for this young 22 year old QB with vast potential.  I just wish he was going to have 1 more year under his belt at least before being put in the situation that I expect him to be in this year based on how this off-season is going with a certain future Hall Of Fame QB deciding to be a petty asshole.

Replace Love with Rodgers, and this post could be from 2008.

And to think we a haven't even reached peak "talking out of my ass" season

He should hold out.

He definitely needs to comment on his disappointment that the organizational philosophy didn't allow them to trade for Julio Jones. He's going to want to win now, not wait for some 3rd round WR draft pick to develop.

Best case scenario.  Rodgers holds out until week before 3rd game of preseason.  Love gets all the practice snaps and pre season snaps he wants.

Rodgers plays as well as he did last year, we trade him in the offseason and Love is ready to play in 2022.

Realistically, I think Rodgers comes back but he will have a contract that makes trading him damn near impossible.   Furthermore, I don't think he repeats the MVP season.  Plays well, but not MVP well.

What a stretch for Jordan Love: * Wheel route to AJ Dillon right sideline for 30 yards. * Free play deep to Lazard for 45. * Deep corner route to Juwann Winfee for 30. * Deep sideline to Aaron Jones for 30. He was so Fire that TE coach Justin Outten started fanning him.
