So sign a shittier (more beat up) version of Tyjae Spears. Makes sense.
@packerboi posted:Don't doubt #Packers are willing to spend on McKinney, but keep in mind, GB is often used as leverage in negotiations because they check in on everybody to see what the cost would be. Lots of times they drop out right away but are said to still be in it. We'll see where this goes https://t.co/9hYvpkzvbc

Yup...we usually end up getting the shaft on these kind of FA...especially those young and in their prime. We are more of a destination for the ages 27-32 crowd.
Who is We
So some #Packers buzz so far today:

Tyler Davis re-signed per @RobDemovsky
Rayshawn Jenkins visit per @ProFootballTalk
Zach Moss interest per @AaronWilson_NFL
Xavier McKinney interest per @Connor_J_Hughes.
Jaguars are signing Darnell Savage.
WHOA if true
@RapSheet: The #Packers are expected to sign Josh Jacobs, source tell me and @TomPelissero.
WTF?
Not on my offseason bingo card.
Listening to nfl on sirius. They are shocked too
Bisaccia connection is said to be huge.
This thread and X4 in general will be hopping for the next several days. It will be hard for me to keep up with all the activity occurring.
Whoa! Not what I expected. Given his age, I think he's the best FA solution.
JJ extends 33's shelf life by a lot! Great move Gutey!
JJ wasn't good last year. We'll see how much the LV O had to do with that.
Cousins to the Falcons done, per Cousins’ agent:
@MikeMcCartney7: Excited for @KirkCousins8 agreeing to a 4 year deal with the @AtlantaFalcons
The last time “we” signed a high profile Raider in FA it turned out quite well.
Assuming both Jacobs and Jones are on this team, this is quite the upgrade from Jones and Dillon:
Can confirm through a source @rapsheet report that the #Packers are going to sign running back Josh Jacobs. If the Packers can reach agreement with Aaron Jones to lower his salary cap number, the Packers will have two veteran backs with catching ability. Jacobs is 26 years old.

@MikeGarafolo: The #Eagles have agreed to terms with RB Saquon Barkley, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
The former #Giants No. 2 overall pick heads down the Turnpike to join the team that served as his rival the last six years.
Jacobs has a ras less than 6. Interesting.
@AdamSchefter: Former Packers guard Jon Runyan reached agreement on a three-year deal with the New York Giants for $30 million, including $17 million guaranteed at signing. The deal was confirmed by agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln.
A few thoughts.
1. Jacobs will look like a very good signing at 6-8 million a year. If it's more than that, I'd question it.
2. Cousins going to the Falcons not only hurts the Vikings competitiveness next year, but it also really affects the Bears. Justin Fields was a logical guy for the Falcons to target in a trade. Now that's not happening. The Steelers are out as a destination too after signing Russell Wilson. It removes two of the most logical trade partners for Chicago.

He had a quad injury last year, missed several games and still managed 805 yards rushing and 300 yards receiving. And was on a shitty offense.
In 2022, he was 1st team All-Pro and earned the NFL's rushing title.
Just 26 with good years ahead of him.
We will see what the real money is, but its a great signing for the Packers.

Did the Giants scouts actually watch him play? He was JAG.
Good for him, but he was rotating snaps at the end with Rhyan.
10 million a year makes him about 14th or 15th in salary for guards.
If you think Josh Jacobs is washed.....you do NOT know football.
It's not fantasy Football
Jacob’s played with the immortal A Train OCon last year. I’m guessing his numbers go up a bit with GB

That's a helluva comp pick - 3rd or 4th round I think
MIN now without a QB1. They must be preparing to move up in RD1 because Mac Jones already signed with JAX.
Bares should trade Fields to Minny
RAS SCHMAS.....dude is a football player. PERIOD!
I can say that with 100% certainty because I've seen him do it on an NFL gridiron
The teams at the top of RD1 need QB's so I don't know who MIN would trade with to get up there. Maybe they're thinking McCarthy, Nix or Penix.
Van Ginkle will sign with the shitty purple!
Falcons QB Kirk Cousins' 4-year, $180 million deal.

• $50 million signing bonus.
• $90 million for '24 and '25, fully guaranteed.
• $10 million for '26 becomes guaranteed in March '25.
So functionally, Cousins gets $100 million for 2 years, or $45 million per over 3 or 4.
