Still, TDs or not... sheesh. That sucks.
Dom Capers on #Panthers run game: Over the last 5 of 6 games, (Newton) is carrying the ball. You add that to their other two backs. They have a lot of versatility.

That's why we're #32
Just TDs, they have a 65% or so rtg, which is about 27th I believe.

Perhaps, whomever speaks up can request that the team ignore that part of Dom's scheme that asks that they leave the middle wiiiiide open.

As a fry cook? Damn straight.
If Dom is let go, he'll have coaching (DC) options.
Nauset Regional?
From a National 35,000 ft perspective. Dom has limited Rodgers to one Lombardi. That’s the way he’s perceived by football people.
The Nantzes and Michaels and Colinsworths love to wax poetic of Doms prowess on defense because it’s a pretty easy sell even if the data tells a wildly different story. Dom really does suck.
When he leaves GB he won’t land anywhere else. This is it for him. Hopefully it’s very soon.

Disagree. He's done.
Really, his forte' over the last 20+ years was building new teams. I'd think the quickest way to form a competitive team would be through a strong defense, and the results spoke for themselves.
Those are a valuable, but very narrow-focused set of skills. Since there aren't any expansion teams on the foreseeable horizon, and given his age and results over the last 5 years or so, I couldn't see any teams seek his services.
Don't think he would go to the NCAA. If his schemes are complex for a highly-trained professional athlete, they wouldn't stand a chance at that level.
Perhaps the NFL would hire him as the proverbial consultant if they take another stab at establishing European teams. Or maybe just one team that all the others could play; something along the lines of the Washington Generals....
Or I could see him replacing this guy....sans' toupee, of course.
Another name to throw out there is Marvin Lewis should he become available. Coached with MM at Pittsburgh and there's a relationship.
I think Marv will hang on and find another HC job...someone will hire him with all his experience.
Is there a team that never wants to win a playoff game?

Well, Fangio is intriguing. His D has always been tough. One wonders though why he hasn't had a shot at a HC job.
Internal candidates Whitt and Trgo? I get Whitt, but Trgo been there and never been back. Also, they expect McCarthy to pass over Winston if he cuts Dom loose?
Idjiots is right.
Fresh DC blood needed from outside the tree.

As soon as they mentioned Ryan Bros, I knew they were idiots. Plus, there was Naglering all over that article.
Guenther then Flores, no thanks to the rest. And yes dum dums, the Packers easily have the talent to run a 4-3 out of the gate. Perry would be worth his salary.

Not sure what your point is. The current D rankings were from before the most recent DB injuries.
The point is, The defense has sucked for 5 years.
It's now deeply embedded in the Thompson/McCarthy Legacy. Chronic defensive ineptitude. I wonder if McCarthy is hanging on to a pair of pants in his closet with a 34 waist....might happen some day, just like having a respectable defense.
The reality is this. The odds that Dom will end the season are pretty much a push with Rodgers ability to save it.
When you see things like this you know Dom is capable of ending a season instantly. An unblocked linebacker that fails to get a hand on anyone? Take your pick. QB or RB keeps it it’s a huge gain. Offenses know they can isolate scheme at least one player to do the wrong thing or make a mistake. See. Screen pass.....

Disagree on DC option. He was Belichek's special asst /secondary before MM picked him up. I think he's done.
I have a difficult time seeing him in any other role on a different NFL team.
Only thing I can even see remotely is the "special consultant" role. That's it, that's the list.
However, we all know he's the Packers DC until he's dead. If he wants to be.

Ouch!
I’m not McCarthy, but that one hit a little close to home for me.
If anyone has the same waist size from 25 to 50 years of age, please let us in on your secret.
Cocaine. Lots of cocaine.

LMAO! This hit just a little close to home...
In my early 30's, I had a box that I toted around for several years and stored in the closet. It was labelled "Wishful Thinking".
When we moved into our house some 20 years ago, Mrs. Timmy! asked just exactly what was in that box. So I showed her....
It was NICE clothes that I had worn when I was younger and single, and would go 'on the hunt'. Of course, I was convinced that one day I would lose just enough weight so they would fit again.
They went to the Goodwill the next week.....

I am 58 and still waist size 34, which I have been since the age of 17. For the past 25 years I've fallen into a strange eating pattern, that I found out is called "intermittent fasting". I eat all of my calories (usually only Monday-Friday) between 5:30-8 PM. I don't eat breakfast or lunch. I eat a LARGE dinner, ice cream for dessert almost every night, and a yogurt around 8 PM. I play competitive racquetball on weekends, coach basketball, and walk a lot when weather in central NY state breaks (which sometimes isn't until June) Another benefit is that strengthens my immunity system which has resulted in me not missing work for sickness in 30 years.
I'm 70, a 34 50 yrs ago and a 36 today. Gym for an hour 6 days a week, bike in the clement weather months and a dog walk every day. Also fishing in the high mountain canyons here in Colorado. If I cut out beer I am sure I would be under a 34. It's my only vice.....2 aday, one pre supper and one with.
