Let's be realistic here. That's 1.) A hell of lot easier to say now. 2.) Greinke openly said he was looking for a contract PURELY for the money. He didn't care what team it was, about being leader or the directions of the franchise. It was all about getting paid. Do you really want that as the face of your franchise for a market like Milwaukee? 3.) Fielders size and long term durability at the time and when you compared it to Braun, Braun was the better bet. He was also a better defender then Fielder who at times looked very average at 1st base.

Of course looking at it now, we could say the money would have been better spent on someone like Fielder. And the Brewers DID make Fielder a fair offer considering their market size. But Prince understandably took the better one from the Tigers.

There is no reason we are aware of now to believe either Melvin or MA knew or even suspected Braun was juicing. If they did, there's no way they would have given him that contract or made him the face of the franchise.

Which MLB official, and can you link to the quote confirming how you are way smarter than us dum dums? 

Also, what exactly should be apologized for?  Did he get fired from his job like Shyam Das?

I vehemently defended Braun through the whole process cause I am a Brewer fan but had my doubts after watching the game below.  That just doesn't look natural. 

And do think Melvin should be held acccountable because he has been around this team since Braun and Prince came up through the minors.  There had to be rumblings from the clubhouse manager on up that Braun may be involved with PEDs.

Bonger, you can sleep in your Ryan Braun oversized jersey tonight for all I care.  The guy is a fraud.  The quicker his ass is out of Milwaukee, the better for everyone involved.

Orlando , he is not leaving Milwaukee for a long, long time.   My guess is that now that he will be peeing in a cup perhaps daily and under immense scrutiny his numbers will go down, perhaps way down.  The Brewers are on the hook for big money, money that most likely he will not justify by his numbers.  Thus no team in their right mind will step up and take With with his current salary And baggage.

Why do you assume his numbers will go way way down?

If you are assuming he didn't take anything last year, then why would you assume his numbers will go down, way down?

I am assuming nothing with the guy.  My point was that there is no proof he wasn't taking PEDs last season.

Because I am not shocked a professional athlete has six pack abs = sleeping in a (regular sized) jersey.  Didn't know you were joining the "obnoxious leaps of logic" group.

My guess is, since Braun did not grow three head sizes or gain 30 lb's, he was using testosterone to recover faster, both from injuries, nicks, and possibly more important, working out.  Dude cheated, lied and got caught.  He denied it vehemently until (I assume) the evidence got to overwhelming.  Pretty sure I've heard this story before when millions of dollars were at stake. 

I'll have no problem watching the remainder of games this year because I really enjoy baseball.  I'll have no problems watching next year because I really enjoy baseball.  I hope there aren't any more Brewers out there either using the stuff Brauny did or anabolics to get massive, but I wouldn't be shocked if there were (remember, despite all these names being bandied about, the pee test has been missing guys left and right).  If you can't handle the game anymore because there are cheaters, then enjoy watching chess and the spelling bee, cause that is all you have got left.
