This can’t be good……

“We’ve seen Jordan Love have one really good day, maybe the best day we’ve seen in the four days he’s been here. He’s had one sort of decent day and the rest…you walk off the practice field thinking this might be a really, really long year.”

No, it is good. Good click baiting by Demovsky, that is.

It may be, and if he's progressing so be it, or if he's really terrible, so be it.

As much as Rodgers struggled at being what most expected of Aaron Rodgers last year, Love getting close to that is probably a pipe dream. I don't know why everyone is afraid of calling this a rebuilding year, but they're likely in for a lot of disappointment this season.

Rodgers' first year was 28 TDs and 13 Interceptions, the most picks he's thrown in a season,  while he showed he was likely going to be who he became.

Love is probably more similar as a thrower to Josh Allen (in risk taking), who was 10/12 in 12 games his rookie year, and 20/9 in 16 his second. 20 tds and 9 picks and showing ascension would be a decent year for Love.

His over/unders are 21.5 TDs, 13.5 interceptions and 3300.5 yards when I checked last week. He also doesn't have an established receiving corps.

He doesn't have to set the league on fire this year to be a good starting QB.

My odd hope is if he's actually bad that he's downright terrible. Otherwise showing a growth in consistecy throughout the season is a win, even if it's a bit of a roller coaster.

I don't have a problem waiting another 3 years for him to peak as long as that peak is being very good, and he shows improvement along the way.

If he's bad, I hope it doesn't take 3 years for the Packers to recognize they need to look for a new QB.

Regarding Dumboffsky (kidding, I actually like him), if you read daily camp reports you may come to the same conclusion.  Love had one very good day and the rest have been mixed, for a variety of reasons.  Saying "we might be in for a long year" can mean a lot of things that in the end don't really matter.  It got him a lot of traffic on socials so bully for him.

On a positive note, I had a dream last night that Love threw for 3 tds in the season opener. The negative is that GB lost 31-24 after the defense gave up a game closing 85-yard td drive. The totally irrelevant part is that it was against the Cowboys in Dallas.

and really who cares what some writer thinks......i’m waiting to see for myself, and will give him at least this year before I rush to judgement eh??     ♥️ 💚 💛

Goldie obviously does or she wouldn't have posted it.

How long did it take LaFleur to recognize he needed to replace crappy assistant coaches?

Here's the thing, even during their initial struggles as younger players both Favre and Rodgers made the Packers relevant with their play. That's set an incredible standard that most teams can only dream of attaining. The Vikings have been trying to do it forever, back to the days of bringing in Jim McMahon, Warren Moon, Favre, etc. Maybe GB got lucky, but recognizing and harnessing that talent over the years at the QB position has made us spoiled as fans.

That's what Love is faced with. Show the fans some potential initially, win some games for us, keep us in others, but keep GB as a relevant force in the league as a team either on the ascension, and one eventually competing for a division title and championship every year. Any consistent proof of this team descending and consistently trending down and Love is toast. Like had been stated tons of times before, it's going to be a fascinating watch.

The coaches, and others, have had 3+ years to evaluate Love, guide his training physically and mentally, and develop the skills he does have.
If he was bad to a point the coaches knew it was futile to continue, I think he would already be gone or relegated to the PS, and our drafts would've likely been much different.
Not to say he will be the next coming of the TOGs immediately, but I believe he is more ready than anyone will admit publicly.

I wish we could see more film of him in practice rather than just the once-in-a-while clip. I'd like to see how he reacts after a bad throw, how he interacts with his teammates on the field, etc. Some of the clips look great, but we don't know what the bad ones look like. From the clips we've seen, he sure can drop a dime going long, but I want to know what his timing is like, if he's on target more often than not, etc. Then we could make a better judgment.

Loved this:    “Ain’t no way you just got on here with that baggy ass Steve Harvey suit and them thick ass dollar tree glasses and disrespected my QB by saying he can’t play football. He only has one career start let him play at least half a season before you open your big dumb ass mouth”

Packers linebacker De'Vondre Campbell took to Twitter on Friday to call out Adam Schein of CBS Sports for his scathing rant about Love which included a comment about the the 24-year-old being unable to "do a d--n thing."

Don't worry, you'll see how he handles a huge loss in Chicago week one.

Packers 13

Bears 28

I didn't know there was such a thing as a huge loss in week one but a Bear's fan would know from experience. That's usually the week they get eliminated from the playoffs.

I know we as Packer fans are spoiled and ignorant to the ways of a non HOF QB, but we are not impervious. Justin Fields is going to dominate my favorite team for the next 10 years. By year three ill claim I lost my love of the team bc the Packers treated #12 so poorly.

Nice try but I never said that. You may as well start swinging the white flag when you have to start fabricating comments.

No doubt if he looked like Brian Brohm he'd have been gone already.  At the same time if he looked like Mahomes he would have been playing already.  It was poorly kept secret that as a rookie Mahomes looked like...well, Mahomes.  He looked so good in practice that the Chiefs had a hard time sitting him.

Most of Love's kudos come in the form of how he has his head on straight, is a great teammate, is a leader in the room, etc.  Most of the actual play is talked about how he has a great arm and can throw off platform.  But it's usually mixed with something about how he just needs to show more consistency, which is something every young player needs, but also something you would expect in someone going into year 4.

This I think is the odd thing about Love.  He literally has all the intangibles that you want in a QB.  The question has always been can he just play the game.  Certainly he'll get a full season to prove himself, but it does seem like there's a lot of "hope" going around more than anything solid up to this point.
