Don’t forget Toure. MLF has been going out of his way to mention him

I like Toure and hope he makes a big leap this year, but I recall that a year ago, Tyler Davis was the Packers pass catcher du jour.

Bringing Clements back has been huge, and ironically that was all AR's doing. Taking an active role in young players development is an area that unlike Favre (and even Brady based on a book I am reading), AR excelled at.

He was coming off back to back MVP seasons. It's been mentioned how insane it would be to dump that. Its easy looking back now.. That's all I'm saying.

The much younger Russell Wilson coming off a 40 TD season was traded. Crazy like a fox.

I think this kid is going to surprise a lot of skeptics. Not saying he's going to light the world on fire or there won't be growing pains in year 1, but he's more ready and more confident than most think.

You are supposed to sell when the market is hot.  Rodgers was certainly hot.

The really difficult thing to learn is to retain that confidence after he's thrown his second pick of a game. That's where he has to have the confidence to believe that the next throw into a tight window will be his best throw.

Schneider vs. Guter.

Just like Schneider couldn't convince Carroll for a year Gutey had the same problem with Murphy. The real difference was Wilson's last year in Seattle was an almost MVP season and Rodgers production dropped.

He needs to make mistakes this year and accept them as part of the learning process.

Oh, he's going to set the world ablaze.

...but I felt it made no sense to trade Adams and keep Rodgers. You should either build for the future (with no experienced NFL WRs that were better than a #3 wideout on a good team) or keep them both and go all in. ....

It makes sense if Gutekunst had already planned to use Rodgers as a bridge, though it was an expensive way to do so. Keeping Rodgers was a good PR move and gave them another year to try to develop Love.

In other words, bringing in a a stop gap veteran to start over Love for a year maybe has more potential issues, and Gutekunst's on the hot seat if Love doesn't pan out.

That's a really good point of view for Gutey. How expensive is too expensive to keep one's job? Might as well max the credit card and then work with the National Debt Relief company also known as the Jets to secure a buy out.

I think it was real simple. They thought they could still make a run with Rodgers and they felt Love wasn't ready. Their sentiment on Love changed during the season and if they had as much confidence in Love at the start of the season as they did at the end they might have traded Rodgers. I'm sure the FO is much happier falling off their 13 win plateau with Rodgers at the helm rather than Love. Trading Rodgers this offseason looked like the obvious thing to do, last year not so much.

A wise, championship coach once said.....

I'll tell you when.....

When he wins a fucking Super Bowl.....that's 'when'

And when Aaron Rodgers says...."It's about time"

That's 'when'
