I don't think it's fair to assume it's an issue that Rodgers changed the play. MM has said in the past that he gives Rodgers the freedom to do that based on what he sees. Also Lewis saying "I've never seen anything like this in my life" is funny considering he's played 12 years for 1 team that has yet to have a serviceable QB that COULD call his own plays. It's not like he's played with Brady, Brees, and Rivers and thinks this offense was a shit show comparatively...when Blake Bortles and Blaine Gabbert are your frame of reference I don't think you really know what a functioning offense looks like. Rodgers and MM have both admitted they're both highly competitive and there's a mutual respect, I think if you haven't been around that kind relationship between a coach and a player then it likely would seem dysfunctional. I refuse to believe Rodgers was a problem from a personality standpoint, I don't think he was tanking to get MM fired, he was pissed at MM, or that he's lost his edge. I think losing makes everything tense and tempers can flair when things aren't running smoothly.
Hey Troy. **** off asshole.
The DET game where Flynn threw 6 TDs, Rodgers called the plays.

Hey Chillijon, get Rodgers dick out of your mouth. Danica is going to be jealous.
I haven't seen this much dissension since last Sunday in Minny
WEAK!!
Let me tell you why Troy is a wank.
1) One of McVince's tenants of the offense was "let Aaron handle it". This isn't a theory, it's fact.
2) McVince chose to not be actively involved in the offensive game planning other than adding in calls the day of. This is shown by where Coach Kizer and Coach Boyle are running around on the sidelines trying to keep McVince updated on what the game plan was and what Rodgers was doing on the field.
3) McVince's hiring of joke assistants who are supposed to develop young players rather than causing more confusion within the offense.
4) Marcedes Lewis example of Rodgers going to a 4 minute offense and connecting on a 40 yard bomb is not an indictment of Rodgers rejection of that particular set of play calling. It should also be noted that Marcedes Lewis' stats include a grand total of 39 yards receiving. Signing a TE shouldn't relegate him to the role of Spriggs baby sitting and he still wasn't on the field enough to negate that turd's failures.
Let's be clear. Rodgers was part of a dysfunctional offense. No question about it. But if people think this is an either or proposition when it comes to McVince and Rodgers is a ****ing fool. The reason why McVince takes the heat is because he showed the year previous that his "greatness" is actually pretty shitty when faced with adversity. Why? Mostly because he was a horrible administrator and his assistants sucked. That's a pretty damn big problem and affects everything on the field. Yes, TT fell off a cliff the last 3 years, which isn't being discounted and attributed to things like the best oline in the league collapsing on a regular basis resulting in throw aways and muggings.
If Rodgers supposedly got McVince fired it's because the system itself was failing , which left a house of cards, not because Rodgers sabotaged poor McVince. Go ahead and dissect Rodgers playcalling (more like cherry picking with still shots) and assign him blame where it's due but if anyone thinks picking out a play or two out of an entire game is representative then you're a moron. I don't see Fennel running clips of a tired, predictable scheme where all the receivers are covered because the defense knows what's coming or the fact that defensive fronts rushing 4 or even sometimes 3 guys were regularly harassing Rodgers.
Rodgers deserves heat because he was part of a shitty offense. Just a fact. Saying Rodgers is culpable for poor McVince's shitcanning is horseshit and something only a ****ing moron would continue to repeat. Let's remember the year previous when Rodgers wasn't part of the equation. Let's remember the horrible hirings and retention of shitty assistants that kept McVince shifting his focus to "fix" an issue. Tom Clements and McVince's "attention to defense" anyone?
This is why Troy is a sizzlehead.
Wow Rodgers cannot keep his dick dry with you two slobbering all over it.
It's vegan lube.
With lemon.
Henry’s analysis above is fair and factual. And there is nothing in my mouth
ChilliJon posted:Maybe the play Rodgers changed was a cross to Marcedes which could have been his 4th reception in 2018 but Rodgers changed it....
Which could become an entire separate discussion about the complete and total ****ing misuse of Marcedes by MM in 2018 but TE misuse by MM is one tired mother ****ing story.
MM was going to go for two against Arizona, but Rodgers changed the play.

It might be, but the continual McVince crap makes it unreadable.
I think Rodgers sealed McVince's fate when he went down and the offense could do nothing without him. Devious

And then he came back and they won 6 with him. Deviouser

No. Had those surgically removed.
Why is this thread even relevant?
Because he is going to land a job and it will be interesting to see how he does in another organization.
Crazy thought. If you're not interested, don't click on the link.
I just want to see who hires on his staff.
I'm glad to see him taking some swings.
Wasn't sure he was looking to get right back in the game, but good for him if that's what he wants to do.
He's welcome to take any/all ass't coaches he had here, as far as I'm concerned.
Hell, he can even re-hire The Dom! And/or Moss, for that matter.
13 years....8 straight playoff appearances. 10 playoff wins. He lives in Green Bay & has a street named after him. All while hiring asst's that were supposedly worthless & homeless before he got the HC gig in Green Bay. Ok.....
Those worthless assistants were his undoing....
Watch him hire Pettine away from GB just to stick it to the front office.
If Mike takes the Jets job he's nuts. Yes Sam is there but Mike's a bad fit with the MY media and quite frankly the fans. He 'd be better off in Arz. Cincy or Cleveland.
Methinks in this day and age, the whole 'big bad NYC media' is more a myth than reality…
I don't know where you live but I'm in Central NY and follow the Yankees. The NY media is not a myth and the fans in the NYC area are like Philly fans without the batteries.

Let's hope we have our staff assembled before he does.
No fawning homers lobbing softball questions like in Cheddarland...
Ok who cut the cheese in here?

OK, skip M3 and focus on finding a 'tough' guy like Doug Pederson…
M3 got frazzeled last year with the GB media. NY needs a firery guy like a Tomlin clone or even Arians

Don't think he could do that. Pettine could only move into a head coach position and not violate his contract.
