Heck, even Newhouse was still turnstiling (and helicoptering) in the league.

Look again
I'm enjoying watching Roquon Smith. He'd look really good patrolling the second level and would help cover Martinez's lack of long speed.
I saw that one of the more well known mocks had him going to us in the First Round
wow Yes, that GA LB.
Several mocks have GB taking DE/OLB Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson. Lets see if he makes some noise.
....but I gotta be honest. You don't pass up Roquan fuc.qing Smith. Wow.
Dude is a baller
I was chastised to move this comment from the open forum so here goes!
I know the Underwear Olympics hasn't happened yet but who are your realistic favorites when we pick 13th on April 26!!
Although there is little chance he is there Roquain Smith zoomed right to the top of my short list. Although small- that guy was a stud in the second half against Oklahoma.
Next on my short list is Joshua Jackson from Iowa. He looks like Charles Woodson and can actually cover some one!
My dark horse is Marcus Davenport. I have only seen highlights- looks like Julius Peppers!
I guess next week I fall in love with Offensive guys but there are my favorite 3
I think we draft to early for Jackson in the first round, to late in the second.
The new GM will trade back to get more picks.
This is the dilemma- Jackson looks like a stud- I watched the Iowa- Wisconsin game in the gym and about fell off the treadmill when he picked Hornibook off the first time, the second one had me thinking about Marcus Peters. Now I don't know if 13/14 is too early and I guess the lay of the land is you can move back a bit but still he looks like a player and unless he fails at the combine I think he would look good i
You watch football games on your treadmill? Why? Couch broken?
How Jackson runs at combine will go a long way in determining how high he is drafted.....speed is only question with him.

So we are staying in house

Let's see how Smith performs against Alabama before getting too excited. If he does really well against that OL and RBs, then let the speculation begin.
If he does that he may not make it to 14.
What am I saying. He's a ILB, he'll make it there. Reuben Foster was a better prospect and he made it to 31 last year.
Roadblock Smith was huge in the 2nd half. Played with all his heart.
There was the first half too
Someone said Roquan Smith was too small for the rigors of the NFL. He's basically the same size as Nick Barnett and Ray Lewis were coming out of college.

...before they starting using "vitamins" to get even stronger and bigger.
No problem with his size, fight in the dog and all that, but just want to see him against really good competition.
In case anyone doubts a single draft can make a big difference immediately, look at the Saints 2017 draft:
Lattimore: Starting and #1 corner.
Ramczyk: Starting Offensive Tackle
Marcus Williams: Starting Free Safety
Kamara: Terrific running back.
Anzalone: Starting LB (on IR now)
Trey Hendrickson: #3 DE in rotation
They did have a helluva draft...

I really like this kid Harold Landry out of Boston College. Complete demon off the edge, made a lot of Tackles look like they were standing still. Would be strong pairing with Perry, giving Clay a break or letting him play some MLB or SLB.

Two problems:
1.) Cowboys will get him.
2.) He has the same number as Hundley. Someone's gotta go...
Don't we pick before the Cowboys?

Sorry. You're right. thought they had a worse season.
How about Ward CB from Ohio State?

Think pass rusher is a higher priority. Or talented TE
Can never have too many CBs, as this year showed. Also, it would not surprise me to see House gone so he would have to be replaced, and I'm not sure that guy is on the roster at this time.
He is. Just has a bad shoulder.
I was pasting in King and House as both starters. Without House, we only have King. I think Jones could, with some coaching and discipline, be really good but we still need someone else on the outside.
