Wow. There are a lot of good Safeties that will be available at 30 or 44.
They must really like this kid

Big question... what did we give up?
no help on o yet. tomorrows gotta be o
At least I can go to bed early.
Trade up and another defensive player. No OL, no offensive help.
F this.
Best I can tell we just had to give up a 4 and swap picks with Seattle
Savage is going to be a stud. This reminds me of the Jaire pick, this is a guy they wanted and they went and got him. I think Philly would have plucked him for sure. Our last 3 first round picks have been athletic freaks, and now weβve definitely added speed to the back end. I think Savage has Earl Thomas potential.
Gave up both 4's
Gave up BOTH 4s.
The Packers traded the 30th, 114th and 118th picks to Seattle to get Savage with the 21st pick.
I'm ok with that. We keep R2 and R3 and can trade back up into the 4th. Good trade.
safety was a glaring need. but not sure we needed to trade up
No one saw any of this coming on day 1.
X4 complained that GB was slow. Gute has added physical freaks with speed!
Glad I don't pay much attention to mocks....

you want honorable mention all big 10 guys you have to pay.

I did not know that... thanks Suffering! That is very useful information.
saw that from henry over at the pick 12 link
Guess I'll flip back to "I am good with the pick"
And another year where they donβt do anything to meaningfully try to improve the unit that protects their $33M/year QB.
I donβt understand it.
Traded #'s 30, 114 and 118 to move up.
I'm also wondering if this draft is a vote of confidence for cole madison's return.
Like the Savage pick a lot. Player.
Speed kills

The Spanish Inquisition theme draft.
Gute is doing his damndest to fix the defense.
Basically traded HaHa and a 4th to go get Savage, since one of the 4ths we got was from Washington. I'm ok with that.
So Pettine is really the GM?
da Yooper posted:Packer fans during draft - WFT. What a horrible pick. Shoulda got some third string LB from Wisconsin. Hand me another Grain Belt.
At Training Camp - We LOvE you Rashan! Will you ride my kidβs bike?
Oy!
Um No. Grain belt is made from pond water from the land of 10,000 lakes. π
Quite possible Savage was one of the last players available the the Packers had with a 1st round grade.
EaganPackFan posted:safety was a glaring need.
It's FREE safety that was a glaring need and they just addressed it. They need a speedster who can cover the back end in a flash and this kid can fly.
Let's remember Pettine was dealing with Kentrel Brice, an underachieving HHCD, and nobody behind them.
Then had the likes of a useless Nick Perry and CMIII well past his prime.
This is a vastly different safety group and OLB corps. Like a 180 from what the Packers had in 2018
Pettine has to be pretty happy.

He needs to fix keeping 12 upright more

Have you seen him? He a scary looking mofo. Eat your puppy (without ketchup) kind of scary. He says he wants to pick....you let him!
i wonder if the personnel dude from baltimore has a bigger hand in this draft than we think. this draft does not seem like a gutey draft, not like last year AT ALL.

MLF's plan with the quicker throws and more running.

Turner and Cole. Scharping in the 3rd.
btw, i like the savage pick, but i think he was there at 30, but again, maybe the baltimore guy we hired had some intel that they wanted him ahead of gb at 30
Yea, well, okay, I'm done watching the draft for the year. Apparently getting a young coach doesn't mean you're getting McVay's clone. Shocker.
Give a failing Seattle team that can't do anything two extra picks. Good move.

Understand that, but as long as Spriggs is in the 2 deep, that needs fixing.
