Still 4.73 is pretty damn slow for WR.
That is REALLY slow. Probably pushed him back a few rounds.

Mehki Becton
357 pounds
Just ran a 5.11
Murray 30. Reagor 62. Let’s just shut this thread down now.
I’ll take Queen. I’ll take Dye. I’ll fucking take anyone that can adequately play inside linebacker in Green Bay. This draft is crapping out great WRs and OL in every round. IVE FUCKING HAD IT WITH MISSING GOOD INSIDE LINEBACKERS FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS! FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

He'll be off the board before we pick.
Wirfs may have jumped Becton as #1 OT off the board. Jebus the dude rocked it in all the drills.
“You’d love to have a 6-4, 225-pound guy that can do it all,” Gutekunst said before heading to Indianapolis. “I do like tall, long athletes and we certainly have some of those guys, and I’m excited what they can do moving forward."
Chase Claypool.

I would rather see Claypool, or any player, be drafted for the position he currently plays instead of drafting him and trying to convert him to something he's not.

I don't like GMs getting hung up on body dimensions and underwear accomplishments. That's a sign of a bad GM. Don't be that guy Gorp.
Jonathon Taylor, 4.39 40 yard dash.
If Taylor was there at the end of the second it would be hard to pass up. That would be a crazy backfield. Get a guy like Mims in the 3rd, a hogger in the 4th.

So will Wirfs. I wish these players would change their names to something my spell check recognizes. Wirfs=Wires
I'm sure your spellchecker recognizes "Mrtundra", however.

You can't coach length, just like you can't coach speed.
When you play teams that are bigger and faster it mskes winning that much harder.
How about getting guys you don't have to endlessly coach in the first place? I hate those two idiot idioms. They are always false logic. Get guys who you know can play. Bad GMs stick with a shitty formula of you "can't coach that".
Great. MVS. VanillaFace RunFastGuy. Corey Bradford. Datone Jones. Oren Burks. Fast and long.

But can he learn to not fumble
Fair point. He would also need to get learnt up on the passing game. Maybe the 3rd round.
Saw Mel say this morning that his receiving is AOK, he also said he needs to fix the fumble issue.

Listening to NFL radio this morning, PFF show. They think that Minns will be a First Round pick.
That's quite a jump. From what I've read and watched over the past week I don't think it's out of the question. He is an incredibly fluid receiver with great hops, hands and routes.
If his stock really shoots up that much I'd think he'd still be at the end of round 1, beginning of 2. Some Jordy Nelson type scenario on tradeback? Wouldn't hate that at all.
Yes, they said that his stock jumped the week at the Senior Bowl, where he proved that he could run routes other than those he was asked to run at Baylor, and then again this week at the combine. I have come to like him better than Reagor.
I would absolutely take Mims over Reagor. Watching more of his tape the comparison to Jordy is legit. I don't think he's as fast as Jordy but stupid control on the sidelines and a big sweeping catch radius. Even in the college game he showed incredible awareness of where both of his feet were tiptoeing in the tightest of catches. He would be a nightmare to defend like Jordy was.
A guy with that skillset would allow Adams to really showcase his ridiculous talent instead of trying to cover for fast guys who can't run a route or catch a ball. I'm hoping EQ can add to that equation as well.
+1
Mims is a bad MF
Mims is interesting. However, his highlights from the Senior Bowl show a LOT of pushoffs and his quickness/ability to win at the LOS looks suspect. That's coachable though. I just want a WR in Rounds 1 or 2 with a double-up in later rounds.
With Taylor running a 4.39 I don’t see him lasting until end of 2nd round
He could sneak into the 1st now
49ers had the most prolific rush offense in the NFL with 3 scrap-heap guys.
Build your OL to maximize the ZBS any number of RB will do very well running the ball.
No need to draft Taylor for the Packers.
Well, Murray just blew a hammy. Hopefully just a cramp, but dang.

He had a hamstring problem in their bowl game, too, I'm sad to say.

Friend of mine coached him in HS. On top of being a physical freak of nature he's also a damn good kid. He would be Packer people for sure but we had the #12 pick a year too early.
Of course he went through the factory at Iowa. He has no choice but to be good! Obviously it helps to be an athletic freak but Ferentz must taze them daily to get the appropriate amount of aggression in their game.
Johnathon Taylor was impressive but Cam Akers from Fla State is my man crush he reminded me of a Fast Eddie Lacy at FSU. Can you imagine a backfield with a 2014 Eddie and Aaron Jones it would be scary.

Mims ran a 4.38 40 at the Combine.
Yeah, I was wrong about not being as fast as Jordy. Sounds like he absolutely wrecked it at the Combine.
What round will Cam Akers go in?
YATittle posted:What round will Cam Akers go in?
Of course every time I like a guy he blows up the combine and moves up 1 or 2 rounds. I spent every weekend this year thinking maybe 4th round now he seems likely 3rd or even late 2nd which is way before GB will address RB this year! So he will probably be somebody else's wrecking ball !
I have a strange feeling Derrek Tuszka will be in Green & Gold this fall. He seems like a guy the Packers would pursue as a reasonably-priced fackrell replacement with upsaide.
