YOU GUYS ARE MASOCHISTS!
I feel like I am relatively fine with everything. Then I pop on here and see how it could have easily been and was just thinking that this is not the best way to keep my mind on productive things.
Coming on here is like groundhog day. And yet I can't stop.
Commiseration.
Is that like, 1 of the 12 steps?
I think it is step one to having a drink.
I don't think you ought to be doing this to yourself, Andy. This is just ****ty pipedreams. I mean, Arizona is way the hell down there and you're up here, and that's the way it is"
it was a perfect storm of bad events and even if the packers tried to make the same mistakes again it probably doesn't all happen and they win.
"Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane."

The entire team could've walked off the field after the Burnett INT and I'm not sure things could've gone much worse.
My guess is Mike Daniels would take care of Wilson.
And get a penalty.
Found on the internet: My own take. Rogers has this mental thing about interceptions. In every game he throws two or more, he goes into a shell. He loses all confidence in himself and shuts down. instead of audibiling for pass plays, he stuck with the run plays called by Hump-day Mike. He was afraid to throw the ball.
To that, I say Bull****.

Nah, I'm not buyin that.
Rodgers did a great job moving the ball down field on the game tying field goal drive. No way could he have been afraid to throw the ball on the 3 and out series after the Burnett pick.
Sigh...
Aaron Rodgers said he's sure Michael Bennett was offside on his first INT: "I think itβs pretty evident on the film."
Didn't factor on the last drive, or much of the 1st half, or the DAL game.
Still can't get over the perfectly set up screen pass and when throwing the ball twists his ankle causing a bad throw. Destiny was against them it would seem.
Exactly.
20 Goddam things had to go rong in order to lose, and they did.
Not our day.
Move on.

I still can't get over how they had such a great defensive gameplan, AND were executing it for more than 3 1/2 quarters. It seems to me the staff had done a great job putting the team in a position to dominate the Seahawks, and the players had responded like we haven't seen since '10. I think that's the maddening part for me.
Sigh...

There is video around on that. Didn't someone post it here?

To be fair and accurate, the Seattle O sure helped the D look good.
To be fair and accurate, the Seattle O sure helped the D look good.
There was definitely that element. But the Packer D was also getting very good pressure, playing good coverage and for the most part not getting fooled on misdirection type plays. They also capitalized on nearly every opportunity to get takeaways. I'd say at least in part the Seattle O looked bad because of the performance of the GB D.
Ugh. Burnett had nothing but green on the left side of the field. If only Peppers didn't give the order...

I think Morgan Burnett's slide down was the most stupifying play more than some of the other "go-wrongs"...even the missed onside kick. While I can understand Bostick's ill-fated attempt to catch the ball, I still cannot comprehend what Peppers was thinking and why Burnett chose to listen to him when there were no Seahawks within 10 yds of him!
From that point on the snowball began rolling down hill. I think Packer coaches and players felt that the game was "in the bag". And like Richard Sherman said today, "the Packers were a better team for 3.75 quarters of that game...but you gotta "finish" and the Packers didn't do that".
It was a total team loss. From pressbox to sideline and sideline to field. McCarthy really needs to do a complete self-examination as to why the team failed to finish. Once he gets done with that, then he better scrutinize his coaches as well.
Nick Collins would have housed that ****er.

How many of the go-wrongs already happened this year, which would have given some knowledge on what to do/not do?
None of them, all the way back to the fake field goal.
Whole damn thing was a learning experience too late, and no shot at redemption.
Sigh...
Aaron Rodgers said he's sure Michael Bennett was offside on his first INT: "I think itβs pretty evident on the film."
Officials did miss the call but that's on AR. Need to be absolutely certain you've got a free play when you throw it up for grabs in FG range and there was no laundry on the field when he made the throw.
That play is all about a risk/reward calculation. The risk of Burnett fumbling is extremely small and the reward of placing the probability of victory at almost 100% is huge. That's a chance you take every time with the stakes that high. The Packers played scared and not to lose at the end of the game and it cost them a trip to the Super Bowl.
Nick Collins would have housed that ****er.
I think Al Harris would've as well
As soon as he went down, I was screaming at the TV. KEEP PLAYING!
I was screaming at my TV - YES!!! way to go Morgan!!! Nice fn pick baby!
The seahawk fans were screaming at their TVs NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! this games over.
just sayin

Seattle gave the ball right back and they got a field goal anyway. In the scheme of things, it really didn't matter.

Unfortunately the Seahawk fans were wrong. And happy as hell that they were. I still maintain that in all the blame gaming the 31 yard punt after the Burnett pick and 3 and out should get more notice.
Yes, the punt as well was a terrible thing too. I watched Masthay's body language after he booted it and I could tell he was not pleased with the distance and direction.
Did the Packers still get cornholed like a two dollar whore? Anyone get fired yet?
Just making sure I didn't dream that part.
I imagine they'll bring in a camp leg to push Masthay. He struggled quite a bit but I expect him to get it straightened out like Crosby did.
Mike and Mike had a detailed review of the
all22 game tape with Jaws today and he said the big thing that stuck out after watching was the
Burnett INT. after watching all the angles, he's confident that if peppers had turned to block instead of waving him down, Burnett likely scores.
Willson is the only one that realistically could have caught him and it would have been way down the field
I don't think we need any more validation that it was the most messed up colossal collapse of historic proportions we have ever witnessed of this team.
Green Bay goes an entire year with the safeties getting zero interceptions.
Green Bay get's 3 interceptions from the safeties in an NFC Championship game and loses.
I'll say it right now, I'm not sure I want a safety that drops to the ground with nothing but open space in front of him regardless of some effing hand signal. What kind of mentality is that for an NFL safety?
**** I'm still so ****ing pissed!!!!!!
