Nah, I'm not buyin that.

I still can't get over how they had such a great defensive gameplan, AND were executing it for more than 3 1/2 quarters. It seems to me the staff had done a great job putting the team in a position to dominate the Seahawks, and the players had responded like we haven't seen since '10. I think that's the maddening part for me.

To be fair and accurate, the Seattle O sure helped the D look good.

There was definitely that element. But the Packer D was also getting very good pressure, playing good coverage and for the most part not getting fooled on misdirection type plays. They also capitalized on nearly every opportunity to get takeaways. I'd say at least in part the Seattle O looked bad because of the performance of the GB D.

I think Morgan Burnett's slide down was the most stupifying play more than some of the other "go-wrongs"...even the missed onside kick.  While I can understand Bostick's ill-fated attempt to catch the ball, I still cannot comprehend what Peppers was thinking and why Burnett chose to listen to him when there were no Seahawks within 10 yds of him!

From that point on the snowball began rolling down hill.  I think Packer coaches and players felt that the game was "in the bag".  And like Richard Sherman said today, "the Packers were a better team for 3.75 quarters of that game...but you gotta "finish" and the Packers didn't do that".

It was a total team loss.  From pressbox to sideline and sideline to field.  McCarthy really needs to do a complete self-examination as to why the team failed to finish.  Once he gets done with that, then he better scrutinize his coaches as well.

How many of the go-wrongs already happened this year, which would have given some knowledge on what to do/not do?

None of them, all the way back to the fake field goal.

Whole damn thing was a learning experience too late, and no shot at redemption.

Officials did miss the call but that's on AR. Need to be absolutely certain you've got a free play when you throw it up for grabs in FG range and there was no laundry on the field when he made the throw.

In all fairness guys, remember that pick the Chargers got on Brady late in the game in the playoffs five years back or so?  If the defender had just gone down, they win the game.  Instead, he tried to be a hero and returned it...only to get stripped and give the ball back to the Pats and Brady throws a TD.

We all know how that game ended... A pissed Tomlinson, a blown chance at a super bowl.

Burnett did the right thing.   At that point, he gave Packers a 97% chance at victory.  It was a sheer craziness of events which stole victory (a well-deserved one for GB) from the Packers.  It was gutwrenching to watch as an objective fan, I can only imagine your angst.  Life is strange and your character will defined not by this missed opportunity but the resolve with which the Packers finish the job next year, right?

That play is all about a risk/reward calculation. The risk of Burnett fumbling is extremely small and the reward of placing the probability of victory at almost 100% is huge. That's a chance you take every time with the stakes that high. The Packers played scared and not to lose at the end of the game and it cost them a trip to the Super Bowl.

Seattle gave the ball right back and they got a field goal anyway. In the scheme of things, it really didn't matter.

I was screaming at my TV - YES!!! way to go Morgan!!!  Nice fn pick baby!

The seahawk fans were screaming at their TVs NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! this games over.

just sayin

Unfortunately the Seahawk fans were wrong. And happy as hell that they were. I still maintain that in all the blame gaming the 31 yard punt after the Burnett pick and 3 and out should get more notice.

Mike and Mike had a detailed review of the

all22 game tape with Jaws today and he said the big thing that stuck out after watching was the

Burnett INT. after watching all the angles, he's confident that if peppers had turned to block instead of waving him down, Burnett likely scores.

Willson is the only one that realistically could have caught him and it would have been way down the field

Green Bay goes an entire year with the safeties getting zero interceptions.

Green Bay get's 3 interceptions from the safeties in an NFC Championship game and loses.

I'll say it right now, I'm not sure I want a safety that drops to the ground with nothing but open space in front of him regardless of some effing hand signal. What kind of mentality is that for an NFL safety?

**** I'm still so ****ing pissed!!!!!!
