Just climb up on the state's highest peak and look around. Should be clearer then.

I was in Iowa in the mid 80's for a week. I was amazed how much my eyesight improved just being there. I could see for miles.

Mother Nature is a whore! For me, it's not so much the cold temperatures...although it does suck. What really chaps my ass is the conditions of the roads. I can't really blame the city, because of the way we got the rain that freezed over with snow on top of it. It's not just the side streets in my neighborhood, there are busy streets all over that get a ton of traffic every day that makes it seem as if I'm driving in a third world country.  Where is the goddamned global warming when we need it? it sure isn't around Stevens Point and add to that dangerous wind chills tonight.

Florida, most uncomfortable cold even if it's only for a month tops.  Humidity isn't gone, it's just clammy.  Like being wrapped in a cold towel.

For me, the worst was when I was studying in St. Petersburg, Russia for a semester.  Just before spring, it would be right around freezing with a heavy, wet snow coming in from off the Gulf of Finland.

That "just before spring" lasted until close to the end of April.

However, once May came it was light until almost midnight, which was glorious.

I'd kill for Stevens Point (hometown) snow removal in SE Iowa.  Here, the city ineptly plows it only the day that it snows, and then leave a huge remainder in the streets to slush and ice for days/weeks later (until it fully melts).  The main drag through town will be cleared (by the state DOT) but all the side streets require 4 wheel drive.  We just had heavy snowfall on Saturday, then 40º F yesterday, and not 10º F today - and what didn't evaporate yesterday is now hardpan ice.

I never realized what an expert I was at snow removal until I moved to a place where snow removal ineptness is the norm.

@pvolmut

the #49ers are averaging a whopping 195.3 rushing yards per game in their four postseason games under Kyle Shanahan. 186 vs. MIN in '20 285 vs. GB in '20 141 vs. KC in '20 169 vs. DAL in '22

That trend ends this Saturday.

That's one thing I'll never miss about 'Sconsin.  That bone chilling cold.  Shuddering just thinking about it.  Our weather in Denver has spoiled me.  It gets cold sometimes, but not REALLY cold like there.  Our winters in the Denver metro area have a 45-degree average with almost no humidity and being a mile higher close to the sun, which usually means sweater weather outside.  It does get colder in the mountains, but still dry and even closer to the sun.

Was just in Loveland last weekend.   Pants and a sweatshirt while walking around and drinking beer on patios.     Cool little place.

It is a cool little place.  It's a popular motorcycle trip for our group of riders.

Liberty or North Liberty? NL is my home.

I love N Liberty. My daughter and son in law lived there for a few years. Loved all the restaurants in the area. There was a place across the field from them that was an overhead door, gas station, bait shop, diner and general store. Amazing place. Hawkeye stadium on game day was really something. A very welcoming town.

What do you ride, Harry?

I've been on a lot of killer rides up and down the Appalachians, but never in CO or the Rockies.
There are a few I'd love to do there if the opportunity ever arises.

Re-watched the Whiners game from week 3...That game was 2 plays away from being a 24-0 blowout at half.

Packers settle for zero because of an early Josh Myers snap, and then with a minute go in the half, Packers up 17-0 and DrayMo's ST give up the huge KOR that sets up SF TD just before half...which was helped greatly by Jerome Boger's officiating fuckery.

2016 Harley Road King.  You should hit me up if you ever come out this way to ride.  Been riding out here for years, so I know a lot of cool routes, but haven't been to even half of them.

2007 Super Glide here. Mostly the Texas hill country so far. Riding the Three Twisted Sisters next weekend. Haven’t been through the Rockies yet, but it’s on my list.

Nice!  2016 Road King here.  I told Timmy! to hit me up if he ever comes here to ride.  You should do the same.  Rode to the top of Mt. Evans, which is 14,000+ feet.  It's a narrow road with a lot of switchbacks and no guardrails.  The pucker factor on that one is really high.  It's beautiful though.

Ha ha!  I quit doing that a few years ago, but you're damn straight.  No more taking your chances on a dealer bringing you mystery weed.  Its all medical grade here, and you go into a shop just like you would a liquor store.

I lived in South Dakota in the winters of '77 and '78. That was otherworldly. I spent a year in Iowa and enjoyed it--I think that says more about me than Iowa. Iowa's driftless range is pretty small compared to Wisconsin's, but it is beautiful and less traveled. Decorah is the best small town I have ever been to--and plenty of Packer fans there....plenty of Viking fans too.

I worked with a Canadian who said the coldest winter he ever spent was in Chicago. Arlington Heights where Garrapolo is from is a long way from the lake, but he definitely would have spent plenty of time in frigid weather.

no surprise here, For the 49ers, everyone, including Bosa and Warner, practiced on Wed, either limited or fully.

Bosa will be fine, Jimmy G. will be fine. All the noise was just for website traffic and ad revenue on articles based on little to no meaningful information.

It's going to be a back and forth slugfest the Packers need to control from kickoff. No second half let ups, no slow starting.
