Considering Hundley has never been asked to win regular season games I think that insight by Cohen is a big fat no duh. He played a lot this preseason and the Packers were 3-1. So I guess Cohen is correct, but it's one of those good problems to have. I hope Hundley never has to prove he can win games while Rodgers is around! If Hundley is strong in game prep and can help Rodgers in-game then that's good enough. That and Favre liked him are the only reasons Doug Pederson hung on for years.

So Janis and Davis it is I guess. Not the duo I would have picked, but maybe this is the year Janis breaks out! I predict McCaffrey will end up in NE like Welker, Amendola, Edelman, Hogan, etc. Belichick loves other teams undervalued white Slot receivers.

Any chance the Packers take him back?

Please no.

Bottom line has to be what the player is showing.  Fackrell has shown nothing since day 1.  To give him a spot on the 53 this year with some "next year" ultimatum is ridiculous.  It's a wasted spot.

TT continues to outsmart other GMs on draft day by not being concerned with players' injury histories:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyler_Fackrell

[However, concerns were also brought up about his age, as he was one of the oldest players in the draft, and was coming back from an injury. One AFC scout mentioned that he was really talented but he can no longer play in space since his injury. Another AFC scout also mentioned that he had not been the same since the injury. During the NFL Combine, Fackrell commented that doctors were very interested in his knee. He also commented that scouts did not seem concerned about his age at first, but as the draft neared it became a larger concern.

Now, do we pick up a backup olineman? A vet like John Greco?

Edit:  Time is up and we still have McCray and Patrick, I guess the plan is to stick with what we have. But the numbers still don't add up yet.

Packers release OL Amichia. No surprise. Very raw. Longshot to make the PS.

Reggie Gilbert release is a little surprising. Looked like he had a shot to make the 53.

Always remember.....the roster is a living breathing entity....Just because these are the cuts today, doesn't mean the roster is "set in stone" & we've arrived.

I think the top 35-40 were well documented. The bottom of the roster will ALWAYS be churned, even throughout the season.

Pipkins confirmed he did not receive a call from GB before the deadline. So he's on the 53.... for now.

Its still going to be a lonnnnnng 24 hours for a lot of guys waiting to see if they stick on the roster after waiver signings start.

I cannot believe the Packers will stick with 10 OL, even 9. Many a year they've gone with 7, and just a couple seasons they went with 8. More moves have to be coming.

Maybe MM thinks that if he keeps 5 bad backups, he can find one to play if needed.
