Some DB did the exact same thing at some point over last 10 years. I don't think it was Woodson. He literally ripped the ball out of the guy's hands and took off the other way. I think Clay pulled that on AP once. But I could swear another DB did it too.
this guy here reminds me of a honey badger. he's just relentless, can get burned, but is right back at it, he is a dawg...love this guy, uber fast, great instincts, he's by far the best cb on the team. kk is not as good, but kk is a good #2...
KK can't change direction without extra steps. He'll always have that limitation. But he can still be a decent #2 if he keeps improving his overall game.

The size doesn't bother me. Wolf instituted the "no-CB-shorter-than-six-feet" rule after Moss absolutely owned us. It continued to make sense with Calvin Johnson in the division. But those guys are gone,and recent history tells us that shorter CBs can also dominate (see, e.g., Revis, who is 5'11" and Chris Harris, who is 5'10"). We also have a CB in King that has the ability to take any large WRs if there is a match-up problem.
My only concern is the injury history, but those seem to be random injuries rather than long-term injuries that could linger.

He had a tough night tonight...
He struggled with Jeffery's size. That will always be a challenge for him unless he hits a really late growth spurt. Wasn't he on Agholor most of the game? I don't think Wentz even looked at him.
King on the other hand did better because of his own size. And Jeffery couldn't challenge him with much change of direction.

Good look at the really nice play Alexander made on the goal line stand.
There was a lot of good on that play.
All 3 DL got lower than any of Oakland's OL. Fackrell shed his blocker, Martinez stoned their FB and plugged the hole, Alexander shooting through that gap, and Gary finished it off.

Gary isn't showing much in pass rushing ability at this point but has shown the willingness to mix it up in run defense. I've read several opinions suggesting he's more of a DE than an OLB. But I think he's still very raw and has a lot to learn in the pass rushing department. Guter picked him knowing he was a project.

I'd put Josh Jacobs in the discussion as well.
In terms of Jaire, he kind of reminds of pre-injury Craig Newsome. He gets in guys faces and has a swagger. Jaire is a lot faster though.
Losing Newsome in the first game of the 1997 season to that ACL tear was as big a loss as losing Nick Collins in 2011.
Sure but Jacobs was drafted 24th even after Savage so you wouldn't have drafted Jacobs in the same slot as Gary.
The draft is a funny thing. Sometimes, no matter what, you select a bad player because you can't manufacture a guy out of thin air. You can only select who is there at that time & move forward.
And his name was supposed to be Jerry. But you know, spelling.
