I'm curious how motivated he is

His FBI is good but BFI, well, that sucks.  I saw a 2 second clip of him on the sidelines where he looked like he was going to cry.  Disappointing.

He got chocked up talking about his mother during his presser with GB journalists. If he can't handle talking about the support and influence of his family unit, I just don't how he'll handle taking on the Aaron Donalds and Quinnen Williams of the world.

How in the world would you know that ?

because I'm a chockin Jeenyus ya Oacker!!

Of course you are.

I guess I’m not really sure they didn’t pick the player that I expected them to pick based on the limited information I have available? Not making sense.

You’d spin Charlie Brown into a good pick.

Excellent kicker, accurate, long distance.  That is when he connects.

Most misses were due to laces not out - or present at all.

I really wanted Risner at #44, (So close.) but I don't know much about Jenkins and we really needed help in the interior O line so I'm definitely okay with the pick and reason behind it. Hope he ends up being a solid player for the next 10 years.

Yeah, I think some of you guys are being pretty hard on Taylor.  He missed the entire off-season last year after ankle surgery.  Got hurt again down the stretch.  The 2016 and 2017 seasons are, to me, the better indicator of the player he is.  And that player was solid.

I like Lane Taylor and think he can remain a starter or, at the least, be an exceptional plug for injury.

Regarding Elgton, I really think his name is Elton and they just botched the birth certificate.  I mean, the G and the T are neighbors. Think it was just finger ****ed, right?

Maybe his parents were fond of the "silent G".

My wife is an OB nurse. She sees them fill out the info for the birth certificate. Shocking how many botched spellings she sees.

There is this from Rob Demovsky:   They also have some familiarity with Jenkins on their staff with quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy, who was Mississippi State's offensive coordinator last season. "Luke was fired up about him," Walls said.

Zach Kruse just tweeted that he played 1,700 snaps in past two years, gave up 1 sack and 12 hurries.

Sounds like a lack of concentration.  Makes me wonder about his motivation.

Our guard play killed our offense last year.  Bell was brutal and Taylor was injured (still).  I think Elton will be one of the top five OL and start. Taylor, Patrick and Spriggs will be backups with Madison.  Calling the September roster now.

Goodbye Lame Taylor. Goodbye Justin McRae.

You're f'in stoned.  Taylor isn't going anywhere.  Even if he gets beat out at LG he is the most viable rotation guy in a collection of shitbirds (just for you DH13) behind the starters.

Are you saying our depth at OL is a shitflock?

Rewatched Q1 of the senior bowl, Eltjon starting at C.  Fairly vanilla double teaming guys but did see him stone some no name NT at the goal line to allow his halfback to score.

This was interesting excerpt:

Faced all kinds of elite rushers in the SEC and had daily battles against first-round pick Jeffery Simmons. Allowed only one sack his final two seasons (to No. 3 overall pick Quinnen Williams) and will be ready to pass protect right away in the NFL.

I don't know that the Pack has ever completely replaced Sitton and Lang from their heyday, those 2 probably were among the top 25% of guard combos in the NFL.   Jahri Evans was a nice stopgap for a year and Lane Taylor has been decent at times though he wasn't last year.

Here's to hoping this guy can be the best guard in GB since Sitton and Lang were in their prime.

We let those guys walk at the right time.   That said, I disagree with the premise that got floated that G simply isn't important.    We saw what shit G play can do to an offense last year, it's not pretty.

Rodgers is known for escaping up and then out.   Remember what it looked like when Hundley wouldn't step up and just started running around the RT every ****ing pass play?   Yeah, not good.   It may not be the most vital position, but if you can't protect the middle of the pocket, you got nothing.

Yep.  Another example was back in 2005 where the Pack was poor in a lot of areas, but with no Mike Wahle or Marco Rivera at guard, that was a major reason they went from one of the best offenses in the NFL to one of the worst.  Guys like Adrian Klemm/Will Whitaker.... they were not good.  There were other reasons that year sucked, but the awful guard play didn't help matters any.
