Lane Taylor, excellent depth!

Lane Taylor, Future Cap Casualty.

Well, that's like saying we're all gonna croak one day.

Uh, no. I'll bet he's played his last down with the team and his money will be needed to sign Clark.

Second-round hit, for sure. Jenkins has been a huge surprise. I thought when Taylor wasn't in there Bak would have to do the work of two. Jenkins is just so much fun to watch; he's not only a great blocker, but he just looks like he's having fun playing the game. Always one of the first to EZ on a score.

If Bulaga walks in free agency, do we look at moving Jenkins to RT?    I believe, not positive, he played every position on the line in college.

Having Bahk and Jenkins next to each other has led to some massive holes.    But having two stud tackles is key to the passing game and extending Rodgers career.

Maybe Cole Madison will be ready to contribute?   He played tackle in college but was worked at guard in camp this year.

Draft Re-Do

If the Packers re-did the draft, according to these dudes, Darnell Savage would go 12th and they would have stayed pat at their original other 1st round  draft position and  took Jenkins.

Not the 1st time I have heard Jenkins should have been a 1st rounder. ESPN also had an article with him being just outside a top 10 rookie so far.

As far as moving him, keep him where he is. He is flourishing as a guard. I know he can also play C in a pinch too.

I'd have no issues with Gutenheimer finding a T in the 1st round. That's never a bad pick to me. But it wouldn't shock me to see Bulaga back in 2020. He's feeling really good and his new work out habits and apparently a new diet.

Jenkins is a bad MF...

I have not been this impressed with a Packers rookie OL maybe ever. He makes mistakes, but when he is on point, he destroys people. Gebins and credos to whoever scouted him. Tossup between him and Savage on best pick of 2019.

Go back & take a look at some of the comments during the draft. Priceless

My favorite is.....

"Worst draft ever...."

My retort??? "Last time I heard that was 1995....Look  up that draft!"

He also hasn't given up any noteworthy plays that I've noticed.

Definitely remember him blitzing & not tackling  Kyle Allen -- as I was watching him, I kept thinking about Woodson playing the "joker" spot in Dom's defense in 2010. Ahhhh memories.....

Fricken frack!  I suggested Josh Jacobs at 12 prior to the draft and got chewed out about need-picking!  Pakrz or someone.

Doesn't matter now anyway the way Williams is playing, but we better stay healthy or I'm digging that shit up hey.

I had more fun watching her face.  I'm a fan.

If we could superimpose her face on John Lord I could die happy.

Elgton Jenkins will forever be associate with Hammond organ, Prog Rock and of course, Cherry Wainer.   I guess that Elton John guy too.

Best nickname ever.  Block-It Man.

Disagree.  The way Savage was playing before the high ankle sprain he more than justified his draft position.  While the guy isn't flashing like before he also isn't getting beat like a drum like Redscrub or whoever was out there in his spot.  That kind of reliability in a rookie is huge.

It's obviously still very early, but Savage and Jenkins look like future Pro Bowl type players.  Their ceiling is very high.

Gary and Sternberger have the skill sets to get there as well if they can develop. There's still plenty of time.

if we needed to pick a Safety later, several top tier players were available.

Dooood.

Speed kills bro, can't teach it.....in that draft re-do, I could also see the Lions taking Savage at #8 before the Pack.

So we have Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams & you wanted to draft Jacobs at #12?!?!?

GTFOH.....

At the time Williams was considered average and Jones injury-prone.

I also have a personal opinion about running backs: You can’t have enough of them.

Glad I was wrong. I thought it was funny more than anything else seeing Jacobs in the top 10 in that re-do.  The iron clad consensus was he had to go in the 20’s and I got raked for suggesting him at 12.

Organ lady has an Elvis thing going on.

I agree Savage was a solid pick. He will be a pro bowler someday. I am also saying Jenkins was a solid pick and after this season, IMO, he will prove to be the best pick Gute made in that draft. Yes, Savage is pure speed and can cover the whole field. Jenkins is a stud in blocking for the running game, which, finally, is now a huge part of the Packer's game plan. Jenkins too, will be a pro bowler, some day. This thread is about Jenkins.

Jenkins is playing the way I thought Spriggs would play after they drafted him.

Oh well. Can't win them all but I'm happy they're on the way to winning this selection 👌
