I'd have gone with perspicacious there.

Its early. But Sitton & Lang would love this attention to detail.
This belongs in Elgton's thread.
Amazing work by the @packers rookie LB Elgton Jenkins on this Jones touchdown! Awareness off the charts. Technique on point. Looks at the DE hip and then puts the NT on the C and gets his linebacker. ๐ช๐ช pic.twitter.com/BtZEWZ6Yht

Schwartz does a good job with his analysis... being an ex O-Lineman he knows his stuff- aside from missing his auto-correct on Jenkins being a "LB" !!!
Also, funny to read through the comments and see several viking fans whining about holding on the play.
What we have there is a tall stack of pancakes.
Barr got pissed that Jenkins moved him 3 yards out of the hole so he tackled him hoping that he would get a holding call.

Love that Jenkins fella!

It's funny how this one play, which only gained like 2 yards, really shows the dominance of the O-Line plus the receivers all working well to block.
Lombardi always said...."Football is easy... whoever blocks & tackles best, wins!"

They might need excavation tools to find the guy Kumerow buried .
Love what Jenkins did to Barr. "Here you go, little man!"
It seemed like all the WRs were blocking well. Not only that Kumerow burial job, but MVS on Jones' TD. Took his guy and sealed him off nicely. Good to see "all for one and one for all"!
Packers do-it-all O-lineman Elgton Jenkins has now played 1,132 pass-blocking snaps since being drafted 44th overall last year.
โ Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) November 30, 2020
He's allowed one sack.
Last night, he played 33 pass-blocking snaps at both left guard and center and didn't allow a pressure.
this just in...he's good. real good.
I suggest we resign him now. He's going to be worth whopping big bucks in a couple years. Dang, he's good. Really, really good. HOF good if he keeps this up.
Heโs an offensive lineman, they can be had in any round.
But damn is he good...REALLY GOOD
You can find an offensive lineman in any round, but trying to find one like him in ANY round is awfully darn hard. I don't know if it's coaching or what, but the OL has had guys going in and out all year and you'd hardly know it. They just don't miss a beat it seems and the OL coach has them ready to go wherever, whenever. They now need to find a DL coaching equivalent.
Somehow, though, I think if Jenkins went out (loudly knocks on wood) it might be a very different case.
Bakh was a fourth round pick.
Redraft the Jenkins class and he's in the first round, maybe top 15.
Reminds me of that guy Indy picked up from Notre Dame. Solid from the start.
Really close call whether he or Jaire is Gutey's best draft pick so far.
In a just world he would be in the MVP conversation. These type of guys on teams seldom get recognized as to their real worth.
A smart guy once said, blocking and tackling win football games.
"Football is two things. It's blocking and tackling. I don't care about formations or new offenses or tricks on defense. You block and tackle better than the team you're playing, you win." -- Vince Lombardi
"Beat your opponent where he is strongest, and you demoralize him." -- Vince Lombardi
Let's give some love to the overall best OL on the squad...dude can play all 5 positions, yeah, Bakh is All Pro LT, and probably would be at RT, but Jenkins could be in the conversation at all 5 positions. That just doesn't happen in modern football.
I've said it for two years...this is Gunt's best pick he's ever made.
An excellent pick for sureโฆ so was Alexander. Gary could be in that conversation too if he takes another step, which is expected.
Gute is really Mr. Thursday Night when it comes to the draft. Someone needs to mute him after that.

Jaire!
Elgton Jenkins is unbeatable in one-on-one drills. He takes care of Preston Smith twice, burying him on the second rep. Sure looks like left tackle is in capable hands until David Bakhtiari returns.

That's odd year Preston Smith, too.
That is his ranking AT TACKLE.
Nuts, he is gonna get PAID:
Elgton Jenkins, a Pro Bowler at guard who can also play center, is the fifth-highest graded offensive tackle in the NFL this season per @PFF, and the third-highest graded left tackle.
โ Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) November 9, 2021
And he'll have to be paid for each position he can play.
Unless injury shortens his career, he is destined for the Hall.
Uncle Miltie knows his OL
What an excellent draft pick.
The FO sucks.
Buncha fucking clowns.
His game against the Chiefs was his worst game, blocking no one as the blitz got home. I'd rather have Yosh or Bakh at LT, Jenkins at Center and Patrick at RG.

Are you sure about that? I know Pro Football Focus is not the Gospel of grading, but hereโs their Top 5 from this past week:
1. LT Elgton Jenkins, 84.9
2. LG Jon Runyan, 80.0
3. TE Marcedes Lewis, 76.0
4. RT Billy Turner, 74.9
5. RB A.J. Dillon, 69.2
Jenkins had the best run-blocking grade among the five starting offensive linemen, and he pitched a shutout in pass protection over 39 pass-blocking snaps.
It was just what I saw, not what PFF saw. Go look at the game. There are times he's standing there blocking nobody instead of helping out as they overrun Patrick and Newman.
