This kid is probably going to be GB's most steady and reliable pick out of the entire draft. He will quietly go about his business and be a 10+ year starter in the league.

When the pack drafted Jamal Reynolds I questioned how many good DL come from FLA. St?

This article is 3 years old. But take a look at the "Top 5" in FLA St. Program history. Not exactly a "who's who" for NFL DL

Now all that being said....just because we haven't seen an Aaron Donald come from F$U doesn't mean we won't in the future. You have to keep an open mind when drafting. Good players can come from anywhere and not just schools either.

That list looks like it came from Canton, OH compared to the list of good K State Offensive Tackles to make it in the NFL.

Dalton Risner, Kansas State

NFL comparison: Bryan Bulaga

Risner provides more positional versatility than Bulaga and is a little more twitched up as an athlete. Both were dominant pass and run blockers in college who occasionally had problems anchoring against speed-to-power rushers. Then again, Risner didn't really have problems dealing with Montez Sweat early in the season, and we now know how ridiculous of a specimen he is. With a few more pounds and some time in an NFL strength and conditioning program, Risner can be a complete right tackle. At this point, like Bulaga, he's quick enough in his kick slide to deal with speed, fires his hands at the correct time, can recover, and is a bully in the run game.

You can go and watch the offensive plays for KSU v MSU on Youtube. Risner gave up a sack and 3 QB hits to Sweat in that game. And most of the game he didn't have to deal with Sweat. I'd say fewer than 15 plays he had to block him.

If not having problems equates to 1 sack and 3 QBs hits given up 15 plays then Risner shouldn't have any problem being the next Jason Spriggs. lol

Spriggs can kiss my ass, unless he wakes the F up and learns how to play the game. Elgton will be a savior for Aaron Rodgers and this Packers offense. Just watch. PFF's top graded C. This guy is a mauler and he's a very proficient pass protector. A perfect addition too for a HC who knows how to run the freaking RoCk.

So we've added Billy Turner, Cole Madison, and Elgton Jenkins to the O-Line.

Talent and depth injection.

Don't forget OT Yosh Nijman. 6-7 324 from Virginia Tech. Dude did a great job blocking Clelin Ferrell, amongst others. Rock solid UDFA add, and definitely the best from our UDFA class. In 639 snaps he allowed 12 pressures and 1 sack last season. I'm shocked the kid was not drafted. Some team officials said he had the best measurables of any OT in the 2019 draft class. Played both LT and RT. Yosh also played TE, so, look for him as a Tackle Eligible... 4.93 40 yd, placed top 5 in the broad jump, 2nd in the shuttle. How the F did we get this cat???

YATITTLE, I agree with you on Elgton. Very solid pick. Allowed just 5 pressures on 369 pass blocking snaps last season, and just 19 pressures over 3 years with ZERO sacks.

Selected him at #44??? WOW.

Pack hadn't signed Nijman yet when I posted that, but I agree. Young man has great measureables and has shown ability on the field against good competition.  Look forward to seeing him play.

Wakes up? Why don't we ask Gary Coleman to wake up from his slumber and dominate as an NBA center? Spriggs can't play. He doesn't have it in him and no amount of wishing will teach him how to play. He needs to be replaced.

I feel really great that they have replaced that waste of oxygen with the moves already. That UDFA listed above can't be worse. He can't be.

What's worse than waving ole on every passing down?

What's worse? Getting bowled over on every passing down.

Spriggs is a TE or DE. I'm surprised the team doesn't try something like that with him. Maybe he's the blocking TE instead of Martellus Bennett?

I know. I was just trying to be nice... Ha. I'd be shocked if he makes this roster. However, sometimes the light goes on after 3, or 8 years.

A blocking TE who can't block? A better role for him? Sitting in some air-conditioned office somewhere far away from Lambeau.

Blocking as  TE is much different than blocking as an OT. Spriggs can make the blocks a TE would have to make he just cannot pass set on a DE/OLB and handle the guy. Not very often a TE is asked to pass set on a DE/OLB but I'd guess that Spriggs is as good as any TE in the game doing that - which isn't very much.
