This reminds me of a bit a local morning radio show did one morning.
They had a guy on who could do a spot-on Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think the premise was Arnold had written a new book, and was beginning to promote it.

Anyway, they decided to start calling people, with Walter Cronkite being the first (at 6:30AM!), and eventually worked their way to one of the national morning TV shows where they actually got put on air.
By the time the next commercial break was scheduled, they were beginning to realize they had been pranked.

Packers Preview on the Packers Radio Network could be interesting as Hub Arkush is a regular pre-game contributor with a 5 - 10 minute slot with chit chat between Dennis Krause and James Jones and a few others. Arkush is full of differential respect for James Jones and in turn James is an absolute Rodgers fan. Will be interesting to see how this goes and what sort of a reception the Packers radio hosts have for Arkush.

Certainly in poor taste, this was the ultimate prank,=.

so did anybody hear if Hub was on the pregame show yesterday? Hopefully they fired him from his spot and called him a bum.

I watched Pro Football Weekly, which I hardly ever watch because it's pretty much garbage. I just wanted to see if they would bring it up and surprisingly they did.

He went on about a 5 minute talk that was mostly apology but also some lame justification. One of the guys (I think Hampton) straight up asked him if he should just be voting based on play on the field. Hub had the idiotic reply that if he was voting just on statistics that the vote should go to Brady because better stats. Sure, Hub. Just look at yards and TD's. Ignore the number of pass attempts, yards per attempt, TD % and TD/INT ratio.

He's a twat.

Some speculation that an extension is already agreed to in principle and they will wait until after the season to finalize the details.

Time for some reminiscing.

Some blast from the past posters in these threads, as well as some interesting and eerily parallel (or contrary) opinions to today - for those still around.

Rodgers realizes

Thompson's lap

Another old gem, settling

Will Love be Rodgers? At this time, and based on what many of us opined in '05-'07, we haven't a clue.

Is there a league rule that does not allow signings at this time?  If not, why wouldn’t they announce it?  Seems to me the less talk about an agreement is better for all involved.

a) Rodgers is already under contract for 2022

b) both sides know if he plays '22 for the current contract, he's doing so mostly alone

c) "The organization and I, the conversations we've had, we're in a way different place than we've ever been & I'm really appreciative of Brian, him & I coming together & finding common grounds & having great conversations."

d) so, "agreed to in principle", means they have agreed to make it work

Always scary for me to read these types of threads.  I say some stupid shit.

Agree.. and weather or not the Packers can afford Adams depends on if Rodgers will take a team friendly deal.

It's time for an honest conversation.  Gute needs to tell him, we want you and all your boys, but there is only so much bread.   If you are willing to give a large portion of your share, we will be able to bring back Adam and Cobb.   Lewis is signed for 2022 already.   Bahk and Jones are signed long term.     All your homies Aaron, just spread the wealth and it all works out.
