Hard to say...part of me thinks they hang on to him for insurance...but another part of me says his agent will demand a trade to a team where he can get a shot at being QB1.

Denver has a ton of picks from the Vonn Miller trade...they need a QB, and if they like him enough a 2nd isn't an unreasonable ask...or perhaps a 3rd that can become a 2nd if he becomes the starter.

Of course, Hackett knows all of his warts, so that will determine a lot.

Maybe Indy is a landing spot...

His Agent is the same as Aarons. SMH.

Rodgers has already made 263 million in his career. If he's getting 153 million guaranteed that takes his total career compensation to 416 million.

Giannis is already guaranteed to make 335 million in his career.

Yelich is already guaranteed around 215 million from the Brewers.

Almost ONE BILLION dollars for the three MVPs on Wisconsin teams (966 million).

ONE BILLION DOLLARS.

well....I was wrong again.

It's been a nice distraction from reality.

But I do hate it. Hopefully I am wrong one more time.

and----Hopefully we'll get two more wins against the bears before his season/career ending injury.

We sing about beauty and we sing about truth, for 200 million dollars a show.

I have the same concerns you do.

But one thing that does make me smile is the fact that all these ESPN shouting head types are going to have to spend more time in (at least commenting on) Green Bay, Wisconsin.

If Gute can turn his 2020 1st and 4th round picks into a 2022 2nd rounder that would be the steal of the offseason.

Is anyone, anywhere seeing that any NFL team that is willing to give up anything for Jordan Love?

Absolutely just depends on how desperate they are and how much Gute wants in return.

There is one tried and true thing in the NFL is that teams that need QBs can get desperate will reach for QBs.  Think about Love for a second he is still on his rookie deal, this year's QB draft is considered poor and some believe Love is better than those guys, and has been with a team that knows how to win.

It isn't their style to panic but look at Pittsburgh.  Big Ben has retired and they have Mason Rudolph and Haskins on the team right now which is not exactly reassuring for the future.  It's not like the Steelers to make a splash deal but you never know in today's NFL.

Denver seems to always be looking for a QB, the Raiders never seem happy with their QB, Colts are rumored to be moving on from Wentz, and Washington has been looking for a QB for 30 years.

Yeah, because he was never motivated to be the highest paid player. It just fell in his lap while he was seated on the toilet shitting out another gallon of ghee.

Saying it now. This asshole will never win a Super Bowl for Green Bay.

If we can get a 4th for him he's gone.

Guess it all depends on how they view him as a backup.

If that's the case, here's the overall draft positions of some teams that may need a QB:

40 - Denver

42 - Wash

47 - Indy

52 - Pitt

64 - Denver

Packers 2nd round pick is 59th overall, fwiw.  Mostly likely spot is Denver since they have two 2nd rounders, and they also have two 3rd rounders.  They have the draft capital to take a flier if they wanted to.  On the other end, the Colts 2nd round pick is their first pick of the draft so not likely they would give it up for Love.

I know many of us are already assuming Love was a wasted pick, but look over the last 30 years.   A number of franchises have missed on multiple QBs including those chosen in the Top 10.

Ryan Leaf (2nd overall), JaMarcus Russell (1st overall), Heath Schuler (3rd overall), Rick Mirer (2nd overall), Akili Smith (3rd overall), Tim Couch (1st overall), Joey Harrington (3rd overall), David Carr (1st overall), Vince Young (3rd overall), Matt Leinhart (10th).

There’s a lot more guys taken in R1 earlier than Love that didn’t work out.

It's much more than missing on a pick.   It's wasting a 1st and 4th on a QB that hopefully never sees the field for you.    It's pissing off a generational talent to the point that he holds out.     Y'all have the worst memories or are intentionally not looking at the entire picture.

If most scouts think the Packers could get a 2nd for him, it's very possible someone will give up more than that. Pittsburgh, Denver, Indy, and the Commanders all badly need QBs. The Commanders are beyond desperate. Love is cheap for another 3 years. I'd rather have him than Carson Wentz if I'm Washington.

Here's what those teams have for draft picks in the first three rounds this year.

Denver 1st (9th overall), 2nd (40 and 64), 3rd (75)

Washington 1st (11th), 42nd, and 73rd

Indy 47th and 82nd

Pittsburgh - 20th, 52nd, 84th

A second rounder from someone in the 40s is a good return.

Another possibility is packaging Love and the Packers first round pick (and some other Packer lower round picks) to move up to the Denver or Washington pick in the 1st round.

That's not a stunner. Figured it would be a long term contract for the cap savings. Why are these "reporters" so clueless.

The mental gymnastics needed to defend the Love pick are confounding the blame it all on Rodge portion of the fan base at the moment.

If Rodge is really, truly to blame for not getting to the Super Bowl what does that say about the Packer FRONT OFFICE that just re-signed him to the biggest contract ever?

What those who are loathe to look at the FRONT OFFICE just can't bear to think about is ... what could the Pack have gotten for a 1st (or a 4th round) pick in the draft, or God forbid a trade involving a Packer draft pick, if the FRONT OFFICE had truly been all in ... in 2019 or 2020?

The spinning that it going to go on to defend what happened on April 23, 2020 is going to be epic.

With Wilson going to the AFC and Brady retiring, the 2nd best QB in the NFC is probably either Dak Prescott, Kirk Cousins, or Kyler Murray. Heck, it may even be Matt Ryan.

Rodgers and the Packers have no excuses at all in 2022.

The AFC probably has 6 guys that would be the second best QB in the NFC: Mahomes, Josh Allen, Wilson, Herbert, Lamar Jackson, and Stafford.

Compete with Detroit and the rest of the lame teams in the NFCN, maybe.

Some fans starting to wake up to the reality that winning the NFC North has pretty much been the FRONT OFFICE goal for the past decade now?

Hard to blame falling short the SB all on ol' Rodge going forward ... unless fans feel like poor Murph, Gutey, and Ballsy just had no choice but to sign #12 to another huge contract ... while waiting for Jordan Love to develop LOL.
