hackett's good:

The Seahawks have agreed in principle on a trade sending nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson to the Broncos for a massive haul that includes multiple first-round draft picks, plus additional picks and players, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

It'll be interesting to see what that haul actually is since it's probably what the Packers could have gotten for AR.

Some fans starting to wake up to the reality that winning the NFC North has pretty much been the FRONT OFFICE goal for the past decade now?

Hard to blame falling short the SB all on ol' Rodge going forward ... unless fans feel like poor Murph, Gutey, and Ballsy just had no choice but to sign #12 to another huge contract ... while waiting for Jordan Love to develop LOL.

What? Shut up! I said nothing about the front office.

I don't think any pick in Green Bay history made me more frustrated than the Jordan Love pick. More than  Terrell Bulkeley, more than  Vinnie Clark.

It was a blunder. You can  praise Gutenkunst for seeing the error of his ways and somehow keeping one of the the greatest QBs who happens to be one of the greatest prima donnas ever play in the NFL...like wise you can call for Gute's head when this Ace no Face deal falls apart when  Swami 12 gets hurt in week 3 (this is what I'll be doing) unless---Love somehow steps in and leads the packers to greatness...Then Gute gets a statue next to Lombardi at Lambeau...okay maybe just his name in the school bus yellow ring.

The evaluation of Love may have been a mistake, but not the pick itself. Aging QB and he was high on the board- makes all the sense in the world.

this is true.  what pissed 12 off was mlf and gute acting like little girls on tv when the pick was made didn't help anything.  I am glad that they don't dwell on shitty picks for a decade and try to fit a square peg in a round hole.  they must have seen that 10 is not it, so ... move on, mid-late first, it happens...Jesus, what's the name of that OL that started 0 games we picked...sherrod; can't even remember, lol.

Seahawks hit on a couple of those picks and it could catapult them into Super Bowl candidates.

The 9th overall pick this year is obviously their best shot at a star. If the other first round pick is in 2023, it's not going to be any better than the late teens.

I'm a bit surprised the Seahawks didn't get 3 firsts and a second instead of 2 and 2.

Shelby Harris is good DL, but he's not a difference maker.

The 4th and 5th round swap is almost a wash.

Noah Fant was the 20th overall pick in the 2019 draft, but I haven't seen him mentioned as anything approaching Kittle or Kelce.

Carroll and the rest of the Seahawks FO are probably in the Detroit mindset last year with Stafford. Unlike the Packers who are highly likely to make the playoffs and be a Super Bowl contender, the Seahawks really didn't have much of a shot even if they kept Wilson.

From the horses mouth himself.

So, does that mean instead of 4 years 200mil, it's 4 years 198 mil?

A haul? Lol. Lets revisit this in three years. I prefer having the best QB in the league behind center over a bunch of unknowns.

We will see, won't we.  Somehow, we're going to have to improve the team this year because apparently, it wasn't enough last season.  Now, changing to a competent ST coach is a start, but I think we're going to have to re-sign Campbell, Douglas and P Smith at a minimum.  That's just to keep last year's team together.  I think Z Smith is out - he wasn't really on the team last year anyway.  It would be nice if we could get decent FA's at DT, TE and WR to give rookies time to develop.  Hopefully, some of the year 2 guys show up as improved players - that could be an area of help.  And, we could also get lucky and draft a player who catches on as quickly as Stokes did.  This is going to be another fun season, hopefully with better results.

An old man and his son worked a small farm with only one horse to pull the plow

One day , the horse ran away.
β€œ How terrible,”  sympathized his neighbors What bad luck !

β€œWho knows whether it is bad luck or good luck” the farmer replied

A week later the horse returned, leading five wild mares into the barn.
β€œWhat wonderful luck !”, the neighbors exclaimed

β€œGood luck? Bad luck?”  Who knows answered the old man

The next day, the son, trying to tame one of the wild mares fell and broke his leg.

β€œHow terrible, what bad luck! β€œ

The following week the army came to all the farms to take the young men for war, but the farmer’s son had a broken leg and was of no use to them, so he was spared.

Good Luck? Bad Luck ? Who knows ?

Everything has a purpose, a lesson;  it is for you to make the best use of it.

Go Packers
