The 2nd round pick to the Jags is looking more like a pick in the upper 30s.  Practically like a 1st rounder in terms of value.  For what, 6 games?  Holy shit that is a terrible move.  But hey, they recoup a 3rd rounder from the Ravens which is actually more like a 4th rounder!

Jags stocking up on picks.  Certainly a top 10 pick, a late 1st rounder, and 2 early 2nd rounders.

The Vikings are so fucked.  They literally canโ€™t cut Cousins.  Not in 2021 anyway.  They are likely going to have to cut Barr in the offseason.  Eric Wilson will be a FA. They could trade Harrison Smith for assets because they sure wonโ€™t have the space to extend him.  Will Michael Pierce ever play for them?

Depending on how you interpret the 2022 guarantee language, I think they are stuck with Cousins in 2022 as well. They either have to take a gigantic cap hit in dead cap money in 2021 or guarantee his 2022 salary on the third day of league business in 2021.

I hate the Queens, in part, because of the way they dominated the Pack in the 1970s.

One of the Minnesota players who always seemed to kill us was outside linebacker Matt Blair.

Sorry to hear he passed away, likely due to effects of CTE, today.

Matt Blair was as big a reason as any that the Vikings dominated the 70's NFC. 4 superb owls.

That story is terrifying. Up until about 20 years ago I'd never heard of anyone dying from ALS besides Lou Gehrig. Now there's an epidemic of it among former pros.

I can't think of a worse fate than to be told "you are going to lose your mind, you're going to know it's happening and there's nothing to be done about it."

I've thought about it and if I ever get that confirmed diagnosis, I believe I will take the 9mm cure.

"THe fact is, the most significant similarities about the teams that have had better records over the past decade is that they have had top level quarterback play and those quarterbacks did not get injured (and if they did, they returned from their injury). Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees. If the Vikings would have got that level of consistent, uninjured quarterback play then they would rank even higher."

Those 3 QBs cover all but 29 teams in the league.  The Vikings are among the 29 - get use to it.  GB gave the Vikings 2 chances to get Jordan Love in this draft.  We can't be held responsible if he ends up being the Packers 3rd straight NFL HOF QB.  Again, get use to it.  I suppose rioting against your team to make changes might work.  Maybe the NFL could defund the Vikings.  Rooting for another (more successful) NFL team comes to mind as well.  Stay at number 12 or change.

I thought the "uninjured" part was particularly rich, considering what Barr did to ARod just a few years ago.

What these dreamers never consider is the differences in their teams if they in fact had one of these All-Pro QB. Those guys don't come cheap, and you aren't going to get Tom Brady performance on a Tarvaris Jackson budget.

The fact is they have gotten crap QB play from....crappy QBs.
Look at the chit show they have put out over the last 10 years. The last of TOG, Ponder, Bridgewater, 1 year of Bradford, 1 year of Keenum, and now Cousins.
Going back another 10 years, they had Culpepper, Brad Johnson, the aforementioned Jackson, 1 year of Gus Frerotte, and finally TOG.
Why, that's a QB roster the Bores would be proud of!
