That's what I'm rooting for.  Too bad he can't stay healthy because he has a ton of heart and just enough talent.

Here's what could save Abby's ass.  He plays well, and fields punts very well, maybe breaks one.

I still think he's headed for the PS.   BUT  it's obvious that 84 can't field punts.   Very obvious.  We know Abby could (perhaps can) that's the only difference.

I am in the 'gets cut and on the PS' camp.

Since Cobb is hurt, it will be Ty against the Bores for game 1 on punt returns.  Wouldn't be surprised to see Neal on KO returns.

Just IMHO.

Whoa.

@AdamSchefter: Bills signed Marcel Dareus to a six-year, $108 million extension, per source.

@AdamSchefter: Marcel Dareus' deal includes $60 million in guaranteed money, highest guarantee for a non-QB in NFL history. Dareus suspended week 1, too.

@JasonLaCanfora: Bills paying up massively to retain Macell Dareus. I'm hearing the 6-year deal includes $65M in injury guarantees and $25M signing bonus...

@JasonLaCanfora: This was always one where agent/player were going to crush it. Rex isn't worried about $ and future precedent. He wants to win now and...

@JasonLaCanfora: Rex has the juice in that organization and the currency w/rookie owner. Bills owner used to be partnered w/Dareus' agent and this was top [priority].

Can't spell elite without

@RapSheet: Sources: #Giants & QB Eli Manning are finalizing a 4-year, $84M extension that could be signed tomorrow. Just a few details to hammer out.

@RapSheet: Eli Manning’s $21M per year extension puts him right behind Russell Wilson and ahead of Philip Rivers. #Giants found the sweet spot.

Oh look who's still an ass-hole?

The Miami Dolphins' $114 million free agent is ignoring play calls, and it's a troubling sign for the future

Suh was largely considered the highest-profile free agent this past offseason, and he signed a record-breaking contract with the Dolphins with the belief that he would help reshape their defense and make them a playoff contender.

In the early going, however,

Suh has been lackadaisical on defense, and during the loss to the Jaguars he was ignoring coaches' play calls, according to The Miami Herald's Adam H. Beasley:
