I think AR would love if he signed with either team.

Disagree. I would have taken that job in a second. First time the Vikes came to play in Vegas, Itching powder throughout the entire locker room!
Antonio Brown has been placed on the Physically Unable To Shut The **** Up list

You gotta cut Brown, right? No way that situation gets any better going forward. I can't imagine paying that dipshit all of that money.

Sounds like he's doing a (play) book tour.
As PKR_NORTH said, "remember what you are outside of football".
For AB the obvious answer is 'nothing'. I wouldn't think of him as being dependable enough to hire as a pizza deliver guy.
They always talk about the 30 mill guaranteed the Steelers gave him. The fact is that the Steelers bumped his pay up 4 of the six years he was with the team trying to satisfy him. Then he complains when he isn't targeted enough - that is how you worm your way to six 1000+ yard seasons. If your a GM and AB isn't on your team - stay clear of him and count your blessings. If your a GM and AB is on your team, call in a truck load of aspirin, your going to need it.

The Packers should be plenty safe then.
Antonio Brown is now playing on Monday.
Gruden says...."They've moved on."
The guess here is Mayock & Gruden disagree on AB's discipline....but surprise surprise....Gruden has the final say.
What a complete shit show
My understanding is that if AB is on the roster in week 1, his big $ contract is guaranteed. This is just another reason why the Raiders have to be the dumbest franchise in all of sports.
You get rid of guys like Cooper and Mack, who are obviously very talented and great locker room guys, and not only bring in this dipshit but keep him??
Lulz.
Pakrz posted:My understanding is that if AB is on the roster in week 1, his big $ contract is guaranteed.
That's correct & it's exactly why Drew Rosenhouse told AB to swallow his tongue, (for 1 week) & deliver the "apology"
Drew has to get his %% %

If I'm Mayock, I start negotiating a buyout immediately.
Shiiiiiit, if I'm Mayock I'm negotiating my own damn buyout. That situation is going to hell quick.

If I were Mayock, I'd resign. Gruden obviously doesn't have his back.
If I was Mayock i would have been smarter than to go to the Raiders and be Gruden's pissboy.
I hope Brown gets neck broke on his first play from scrimmage and has to spend the rest of his life having drool wiped from his chin.
Well that took a dark turn.
Gotta be honest Timmy. You've kinda gone John Wick Parabellum the last few weeks. All good?
LOL. I confess I had to look up John Wick.
Maybe I need to get out more....
In any case, my bark is much worse than my bite.
However, I cannot stomach vain, arrogant, pretentious assholes like Brown. They need to learn how to be humble and grateful for their opportunities in life.
I can't think of a better way for that to happen.
Most disgraceful thing said on this forum in weeks:
"I had to look up John Wick."
A. Brown asking for his release from the Raiders.
I just got an email from Antonio Brown. He tells me the team “took away my guarantees.” He added there’s “no way I play after they took that and made my contract week to week.” So at this moment, once again, don’t expect AB to play on Monday Night Football.

Antonio Brown has yet to earn a real paycheck or bonus yet from the Raiders (his signing bonus was tied to attendance) and has been fined over $250k by the team already. His $29M in guarantees at signing have voided. They could cut him anytime and owe him nothing.

He'll be a Dallas Cowboy by next week if they release him.
Cowboys deserve him.
The coverage AB is getting by the national media is ridiculous. It's opening week in the NFL for fukk sakes and the only thing people are covering is a dipshiit diva of a receiver. I get that it's a story, but....
I am beginning to wonder if there is something seriously wrong with AB. Mental illness? CTE? Drugs? Gruden hate?
This seems above and beyond, even for an NFL diva...

There's one problem with that. Mayock is a ****ing moron.

Jesus complex. Seriously. His comments starting in Pittsburgh are delusional.

I don't think Mayock is a moron. That said, just because a guy does a pretty good job as a college football color analyst and is an amateur dratnik doesn't autmatcally make him a good GM candidate. Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought A. Brown was this much of a headcase, and Mayock obviously underestimated that as well. Mayock seems like a decent guy who may have made a bad mistake with acquiring this maniac.
Mayock was hired because as a former talking head and analyst, he really didn’t know squat about what happens in an NFL front office so he is at the mercy of Davis and Gruden. Reporting from the outside is far different than being in the office every day. In the case of AB, Gruden obviously thought he could “handle” him, and Davis probably looked at AB as the ultimate Raider—bad boy image, cocky, etc.—and able to put fans in the seats in LV. I believe the old saying that applies to Mayock is, “Lie down with dogs, don’t be surprised to wake up with fleas.”

That makes him an idiot on two fronts. Thinking he could be a GM with no experience and signing AB because he has no experience. It's idiot Snyderbrenner disease. "I have money, therefore I know what's going on". "I'm an analyst, therefore I must know what's going on".
If anything it's hubris.
Over the years, there have been some genuine circus shows. Matt Millen in Detroit, Jerruh in DallAss, Danny Boy in DC, Haslam in Cleveland.
Lots of side shows, as well in Buffalo, NYJ, Miami; even in Minnesota.
This Davis/Mayock/Gruden triumvirate is on a whole 'nother level.
The Raiders have released WR Antonio Brown from the team today.
