I normally don't watch Get Up but this is great.

Sorry ammo, still too much yelling……I like NFL network group.    Although I did like the guy who said Matt LaFleur was the reason for the Packers win.

Here's how the story should go, right Goldie?

But there's a tiny town by a bay in the hinterland where they pray at bench seating to St. Vince, asking to witness another miracle.

(They kicked ass, Goldie!  )

Did you just write that on the fly?  Very nice!

I thought if they played well they could beat Dallas.   MM is a choke artist.

I don’t feel the same way about San Fran.   That is a physical football team and hell of a coach.   They will run the ball 40 times in a row of Barry doesn’t respond to it.

I really like the Packers’ young group of skill position talent.  That said the 49ers are the cream of the crop when it comes to their WE/TE/RB combo.

I’ve been watching the NFL since1977/1978 and Deebo Samuel might be the strongest pure tackle breaking WR I’ve seen in my 45+ years of viewing.  He isn’t necessarily a premier guy in terms of downfield ball tracking, but his ability to take a short to intermediate pass and get extra yards is all time exceptional.

Ayiuk is a really good #2 WR also good at run after catch.  George Kittle is just a fantastic overall TE that can do it all.  Christian McCaffery can be a matchup nightmare with his extraordinary receiving skills to go along with great acceleration as a RB. Even reserve RB Elijah Mitchell has looked really good whenever given a chance.

We’ve only seen one team really stop them, the Ravens.  At least the Ravens did show the 9ers are beatable.  Not sure we have quite the defense to match the Ravens’ capabilities, but at least we’ve played much better football on that side of the ball the last 3 weeks.

The lions and their fans will be rooting hard for us to win so they can host the championship game.

i also know the Packers will be all over national TV broadcasts next year after what they did this season.

Which D is in the best position to defend vs the SF O?

The GB D sees their style of offense every day in practice.  Their players are different and almost impossible to simulate but the scheme is very similar.

The key will be keeping Barry on the IV drip of psilocybin while his players keep after Purdy, stopping the run on their way to the QB.

The weakness of MLF / Barry has always been facing a physical team.

Will see if this OL is different with guys like Walker and Tom. How will they respond to the physical play.  How will the new WR group respond.   I believe there is a chance that this offensive group can break the mold.

I don’t believe that on Defense.  I think Shanny is about to punch Barry in the throat and he will hide in the closet.  It’s going to be the Marshawn Lynch game where they “run through a mother fuckers face over and over and over and over again.”

Barry will need to play a 8 man box all game but he doesn’t have the stones for it.

Yes, I did. Thank you. Something about what Goldie said just sparked my fingers to dance along the keyboard until it was finished.

But I didn't use just one fly; I went rhrough a whole swarm, Fedya!

I was going to post about the "toughness/soft" narrative.  Because I think this team has started to shake that label off.

You certainly didn't hear Campbell calling anyone soft after GB ran his team over at home on thanksgiving day.  The Bears D came in with a full head of steam ready to punch GB in the mouth and we saw Packer players all over the field unafraid to punch back and get in the Bears faces.  They haven't played the Jets this year so they didn't have the chance to shove those words back into Saleh's mouth.  They'll have one more chance to do the same to SF.

And beyond the wins, the OL and D have both looked more physical and have really dictated the outcomes by winning their one on ones.  I don't know what happened (though I just saw a story about MLF no longer referring to the team as "young" after the loss vs MIN at home) to set off this change but it's working.

Of course the wild card, as always, will be Barry and how he calls this game.  If BD is right and Barry curls up back into a soft zone fetus, it'll be tough to keep up because you know SF's D will be ready for all the MLF wrinkles in Shannahan's offense.  Our D should be be prepared for the same reason.

I don't think this will be a track meet.  I think it's going to be a tough physical game that will come down to the last minutes.

Keeping with the same AR comparisons.  Love wins tonight like ar won eagles game, love wins next week at San Fran like ar won in Atlanta, then love goes to Detroit to beat lions a division opponent like ar went to Chicago and won. Dejavu all over again. So let it be written so let it be done....

I was trying to piece this together too. But man that game yesterday had the Falcons game stamped all over it. But it would be amazing to beat SF then go into Detroilet and rip a SB trip from them.

@RapSheet: Source: #Packers edge player Kingsley Enagbare is feared to have torn his ACL in yesterday’s win over the #Cowboys. The player called JJ had carved out a nice rotational role for himself.

Tough break for a good, ascending player. Wonder whether Brenton Cox, Jr. will be activated to replace him in what has been a nice rotation with Rashan, Preston and LVN. Cox has not been active for any games even while he’s been on the 53 all season. Developmental prospect with a chance to step up.

Yesterday the Packers used a only 1 back set.   A new wrinkle to show the Whiner D will be a 2 back set with Jones and Dillon.  That worked somewhat early in the year and should/could be   resurrected.  2 TE and 2 RB and just knock the Whiners back about 7 yards.

My wife is a 49er fan. So being out west now I’ve seen more than I care to of SF this year.
When Hufanga went down against Tampa it really hurt what was already a shaky secondary. They don’t cover well.
Shannahan may very well try and run the ball 40 times. Partly because he has the personnel to do it. More so because he needs to dominate TOP and keep Love and this stable of receivers on the sideline.
if GB can kinda sorta limit the run and keep Love clean in the pocket they can absolutely win this game.

The thing with Shannahan is that he is absolutely willing to do that.  In fact, I think he relishes it.   Other coaches can’t help themselves and will start passing when they are ripping off 4.5 per carry.  Not Shanny, he will pound it over and over again.

Someone here made a really interesting point about playing in DAL being a big advantage for GB's O because of all the speed they now have.  I think that definitely had a part in scoring 48.

SF will be a slower surface which plays more into 49ers' offense of running and using Deebo, Kittle and Jzykusk(?) to that end.

I hope MLF's "2TE Sets" playbook chapter has a long section on how to bolster the run game with 88 and 85.

We didn't see MLF run him deep to test the hammy.  Probably still an issue.  But yeah, you empty your clip vs. SF.

He did on Doubs first catch. Drew the attention of the two deep safeties clearing an area for Doubs.

On a young team like this, Jones is somebody you dream about having in the locker room: a calm demeanor, quality person, team-oriented, accountable, willing to coach up teammates, etc. Priceless asset to this team, and I hope Gute finds a way to bring him back.
