It could be that but also that DET really floundered to end the regular season.  I'd rather go there than a place where DAL was undefeated at home.  And LAR really could have won that game.  Those teams seemed pretty equal.

Enagbare averaged a little more than 26 snaps per game on defense during the regular season; on Sunday, he played 40 of 90 snaps and seven on STs, according to the Packers site. I didn't realize that he played that much during the year. Bummer for Engbare and the OLB depth about his injury (most likely ACL).

They MUST work something out to keep Jones in this offense. It's a different attack with him out there.

Might have to limit his touches during the season and save him for heavier loads in strategic games. He’s old. I don’t think his body can handle a full season of work.

Interested to see what we do defensively vs 49ers. I just don't see any way we can pay Nickel vs them unless it is clearly a passing down. Nickel will allow them to double team our 2 interior lineman and  Shanahan will run it down our throats. I think we are going have to go "Bear Front" and take our chances that they will have some big play opportunities down the field.

You have to make Brock Purdy beat you. If he does, so be it.

I'll  go out on a limb and call it: Watson with over 160 yards receiving and TWO TDs against the Niners.

Every time you make an outlandish prediction like this the player goes silent. Watson is doomed now

A team that’s been in “playoff mode” against a team that’s shaking off the rust from a bye is going to be real interesting early in SF.

Bye weeks are nice but I think for this young team they are better off having that extra game instead of the time off.

The weakness of MLF / Barry has always been facing a physical team.

You mean like Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit, Kansas City? I'd call all 4 of them physical.

Dan Quinns defense was exposed vs. The Niners and the Packers are probably the only team in the league (maybe the Rams & Ravens) that can replicate the multiples on offense to attack Quinns defense.

I honestly don't know how Quinn can get a HC job after that performance by his defense on Sunday....Maybe Carolina will hire him and he can have fun with Tepper. Enjoy that.

They need to find his replacement.

Many media outlets still ranking GB at or toward bottom of remaining teams with chance at SB.

Sweet.  I like it because they are continuing to underestimate the Packers and that is fine because its fun rooting for a team no one expects to win.

Found on the internet: I love the "next man up" philosophy of the Packer receiving group. From week to week it is almost never the same guy who has a big game. That has to drive DC's nuts! The Packers have multiple wideouts and TE's who can dominate a game and that is almost impossible to defend short of smothering the passing game at its source - the QB. I suspect SF is going to try to pour the pressure on Love since they can't cover all of the Packer receiving weapons.

We will win this game if our D does their job because we have TOO MUCH talent in the receiving department for the Niner secondary to cover.

It won't matter if the O-Line doesn't block anyone. Nick Bosa, Armstead and Hargrave are really good.

Don't forget former Packer Linebacker Orin Burks! He's going to kill us!

So, we get two revenge games left? BRING IT!

Deslin Alexandre and OLB Deandre Johnson???? Oh, now we are winning the Super Bowl!

Fortunately for them, Love sucks at playing against the blitz. Please blitz him on every down, San Fran.

Shanny will want to totally run if that's the case. Purdy doesn't have a super-strong arm and whatever he throws could have trouble in high winds. Other than some of the lollipops Love has thrown, he is better equipped to drive a ball through wind. Could be a very sloppy game...

Need to force a Purdy flop.    Watch the tapes of every niner loss and do what was done to Purdy.    He has been blessed with a strong supporting cast.

We own the QB comparison and Jones and our receivers stack up close to niners

Gotta Protect Love and get after and rattle Purdy

Purdy had 9 picks in his 4 losses

Massive difference in talent, then vs now. And I will also include QB, where Rodgers all too often came up small in big games late in his career here.

I'll take this version of Love and how he's playing now.

Early forecast for Santa Clara saturday night is potential for rain and strong winds.

Don't like it.  Our offense is better suited for a fast track.    On the flip side, it could slow down Deebo and McC some.

It’s also meaningless what anyone predicts.

Good sign that Ja would have practiced today, even if limited.

@mattschneidman
The Packers put out an injury report estimation today, though they don’t practice until tomorrow before Saturday’s game. Notable: Jaire Alexander, who left Sunday’s game and didn’t return, would’ve been limited.
