Don't like it.  Our offense is better suited for a fast track.    On the flip side, it could slow down Deebo and McC some.

Anyone who runs successfully is better suited to weather the weather.  I would think CMC and Deebo would both be an advantage. Not because of their speed but their physicality.

33 is also a physical runner and hopefully we get Dillon back.

Not going to be any surprises this week. If the Packers win I guarantee you they will have earned it!

A lot of good insights from the other side. Right at the end of this Bosa says "Love does exactly what he is coached to do,Aaron Rodgers was a HOF QB but sometimes he went outside of coaching and sometimes it's good when you have a guy who does what he's supposed to do"

8 QB's this weekend....

7 are fantastic.....

Then Brock Purdy

She thinks Purdy is a good QB but he's not in the class of the other 7.

And IDGAF if the Niners win this weekend. Everybody knows, she's 100% right. Niners fans will cry 😭 forever about it. She said the same things we all see and say ...Purdy has magnificent weapons including the defense ....does what he's coached to do...and wins ballgames.

IDK if somebody has the stat....but start of the year.....probably first 6-8 games or so....I never saw Purdy throw a pass more than 20-25 yards in the air. Not once. Expect a lot of that on Saturday Night. Crossers and slants are their bread & butter....and the Packer defense had better be ready to tackle the same way they did vs. the Cowboys.

To be fair to Purdy, he hasn't had his shot at this defense.

This guy is good 👇🏼🙂

I hope we don’t get Dillon back.  We are better off when MLF is forced to feature Jones.

Absolutely correct - bizzare. Bosa seemed to indicate (as I interpreted from that interview) they are confident they know where Jordan will go with the ball because of the progression of his reads and it is just a case of getting to him.

I think Love and the Packers offence will:

1.execute and be really damn good on the money downs

and

2. continue to punch it in the end zone and be red hot in the red zone.

Whether this is enough to win the game I don't know but I am looking forward to watching and cheering on the Packers.

Going to be important for offensive staff to "break tendencies" in their game plan. Getting Armstead back for SF would be huge for them, one more guy who is likely to win his one-on-one. I don't think I've ever heard Fred Warner interviewed before .... impressive, he'd be a great Packer!

there was at least 1/2 dozen off script big plays in the game last week, and against the bears, 11 ran the crosser that he wasn't even supposed to be a thing took it to the house...so ok, he's a system qb.  I disagree but have not played in the nfl either.

The point was if weather/field conditions dictate, you'll need more than 1 back.  And Dillon has been running pretty well as a #2 the last couple months.

One more thing: 33 CAN NOT FUMBLE THE BALL.

It’s Christian Watson’s father. Good follow.

Both these teams are very familiar with each other's offense so there will be very few surprises and likely fewer receivers looking lonely waiting for a floater to land in their laps.  It's going to be much more about physically winning your matchups and staying sound in your technique.

Vic Ketchman, after consecutive playoff losses to SF used to refer to MLF as a guy that could pencil whip you with scheme but who's offense would get bullied by tougher teams.  He was one of the guys that, without saying it outright, considered MLF's teams soft.

I think the current team has been shaking off that label the last couple months and are better prepared for a team like SF than they have been in a long time.  They have to be prepared for a close heavyweight bout, something they haven't really had this year.

Both Herman and Oates have said that Rashan Gary needs to step up and it's a point I agree with. He's largely disappeared since his multi-sack game on Thanksgiving and they won't pull the upset absent pressure on Purdy.

I've seen others point that out on twitter too but it's not seen widespread acknowledgement.  He hasn't had the sack numbers but I seem to read about him getting pressure in the game recaps.  Pressure is important but he's getting paid to be a difference maker.

I don’t give a rat’s ass who gets the sacks - as long as they get some.  If Gary is getting double teamed and causing pressure, and someone else gets the sack - fine by me.

Regardless of rats asses he's getting paid to beat double teams and be an elite edge.

With all the YAC SF receivers and CMC get, tackling will be a huge factor Saturday night.  The D improved greatly in that area but they'll need to have their best game against this group.

I am definitely good with some sacks on Purdy and I don't care who gets them.   Even if they get close and not get a sack I wand Purdy to hear footsteps and with that speeding up his internal clock to pass the ball.

I am very confident the Packers can score on SF but what we need is one of the best defensive games this team has had in the last decade to pull this one out.

Is this where the Hero's Journey ends this season?  My sense of impending doom is because of history rather than the current challenge, but this game will tell us a lot about Love and the rest of the team.  Even if they lose can they be competitive, or will they be embarrassed as in some years past? Or a bit of both with the offense excelling and the defense being exposed again?  Or the reverse?? All I know is that this is another chance for Love and the team to establish their own legacy.  And as the league's subliminal message has been telling us, Be Love!

Just noticed that Purdy and the Niners' starters haven't played a meaningful game since New Year's Eve. That seems notable. 20 days between real game action is a lot. I can definitely see them starting slow.

JLove vs Purdy- Could be the start of great games like Manning vs Brady. #1 Draft draft pick vs late round draft pick. Of course AR did not do well against Brady over the years. Of course Brady always had the better team around him. Hopefully, Packers brass helps JLove to have more success than what they did with AR.

Bosa trying to show some "Love" to his QB (Purdy)....That's what I took out of it.

The next time Purdy throws a ball across his body over the middle and completes it, will be the first time.....EVER.

If Jordan Love was on the 49'ers he'd have 50 TD passes and be the Unanimous MVP this year.

I'm actually more impressed with the young receivers and TE's doing the mind meld thing with Love.....that's why this offense has become filthy....or as MLF said....."Grimy!" Make it grimy!!

Since their Bye (and not counting the meaningless week 18 game against the Rams), the Niners were 7-1 with a winning margin of 18+ per game.  They were 5-0 on the road and 2-1 at home.  They are going to score points on their own (in addition to the FJB factor), so the Packers will need to score. Winning team has at least 30 points.  Packers need to not get behind early.

Even if they get whipped I wouldn't consider it an embarrassment.   The team has already exceeded expectations and is tracking in the right direction.

The only thing I do not want to see is the offense getting punch drunk.  San Fran will punch them in the face, I need to see an MLF offense punch back against these guys in the playoffs.   No curling up and hoping your QB can deliver an off script miracle.

For the defense, if they perform well, that's a win for the GBP.   If they get abused, that's a win for the GBP too as it's another reason to move on from FJB.

Seriously.....this is all house money x4 at this point....just being competitive against what is CLEARLY one of the top 2 teams in the league....I will stand an applaud at the end even if they lose.

Stay loose....let it rip.....you have nothing to lose and the Niners are tight. They're worried because this ain't Aaron Rodgers' Packers anymore.
