Well, Rodgers got what he wanted. Now he has to produce. He’ll probably get the chance to call what he wants. After reading how MM could call a play three times and never see it run, I am a little jaded right now towards Rodgers. Whoever the next guy is has a difficult job reining in Rodgers and getting him on his side...

Next coach better not concern himself with getting Rodgers on his side. Just win

Cant possibly overstate how badly Murphy ****ed everything up. Murphy may have ****ed the franchise for a long while.

McCarthy is well past his shelf life. People who think he's a good coach are not putting enough stock in how much lipstick a great franchise QB can put on that pig.

Standing by your principles and sticking with a game plan in the face of adversity is an admirable quality, but don't confuse that with being stupid stubborn. McVince has demonstrated many times over the last decade he is more stubborn macho than man of convictions.

His refusal to fire coordinators despite repeated errors that cost ball games...Bob Sanders, Dan Compers, Shawn Slocum, Ron Zook...

His refusal to re-tool the playbook...

His refusal, in spite of hiring an OC, to delegate play calling...

And his obvious paranoia about being undermined by players and assistants has reached a tipping point.

It's beyond time to go. McCho has pissed away 4 solid years of 12's career.

I would bet the Packers will win 3 of the last 4, and some will be clamoring for Philbin to be the guy. Pay them no mind. It's time for a complete reboot in the coaching staff. That may even mean adios Pettine. They cannot fart around here...they need someone who knows how to use #12 to the best of his abilities, and they need to invest heavily via draft and FA in the OL. Until his confidence is restored, he's not going to do anyone any good.

I didn't realize Henry was a Packers Corp board member with voting power...

So Henry wants to bitch without a solution...who gives a shit? You would prefer he'd spend time crafting a pointless manifesto that is nothing more than mental masturbation for people kvetch about?

Take your circle-jerk somewhere else.

After the debacle in Seattle in the 2014 playoffs MM should have been shown the door.

IMHO what happened in Seattle was not MMs fault.   Capers didn't get his D lined up to stop plays correctly. And a scrub TE didn't do as he was told and coached to do.  MM couldn't go out there and not touch that on side kick.  That was on the team.  MM had coached them to a great lead but the team couldn't finish.

Yes, it was on MM. He kept on settling for FG's, bad play calling, many said so during that game. That game should have been a blow out. He should have been fired after that game.

Part of the majesty of the English language is that there is a big difference between a wise man and a wise guy.

Certainly at the time of Capers' firing, everyone was on board with it.  Given that, it is imperative to acknowledge the optimum time he should have been fired.  Whenever it was, it was a few years ago.  Perhaps after the Kaepernick playoff game?

Now you add in the stale offense, what I just read (from Henry) about some details of the offensive game plan...

He so had to go.  It was a mercy killing.

I wish the man no ill will.  Business is business.

From the article:

McCarthy, 55, had been with the Packers since 2006, winning Super Bowl in 2010. However, things have been rocky since, only reaching one NFC title game in that span.

By my count he's reached 2 since winning the Super Bowl.  Seahawks and Falcon losses.  A total of 4 times in his GB career.  Giants, Bears and the aforementioned 2.

Only to the Super Bowl once.  So, if the writer thinks they've reached a Super Bowl since 2010, wrong.  Unless I missed it.

If the writer thinks they've only reached the NFC Championship Game once since 2010, wrong again.

Am I correct?

It just dawned on me that we have at the very least a month and a half of speculating who the next head coach will be. It may have been more interesting to just b and moan about M3 the rest of the season.

Could be 2-3 months for this organization.  A good organization would have things somewhat figured out already, but I am guessing Murphy hasn't even thought about the next step.
