Can't blame TT for Franklin's and Sherrod's injuries. Everyone raved about Franklin and what he might bring to the table, and then the neck. Sherrod may or may not have developed, but the leg was an injury tough to recover from.

And how many posters here have suggested getting rid of Capers?
All the morans?
He has the idot support.

Tire kicking time, maybe?
Herschel posted:This is a good draft for CBs and pass rushers. I'd still argue they need to get a good pass rusher early maybe before a CB. It's not like Perry and Matthews are the most durable guys, and even when healthy they need snaps off. I also really like Matthews in the "joker" role, meaning even more snaps to be covered outside. Another bigger guy would also be good as Jones is likely gone.
Heck, a TJ Watt/Fabian Moreau/Daeshon Hall-type first three rounds would be fine by me.

Would love to see Cook back but seriously, he is stiff and has terrible hands. Probably a dozen second stringers around the league who could come in and replicate what he did. I know there's not much love for Rich Rod around here but I think he would be fine carrying the position if needed, not much drop off there at all. Not as fast but much better hands.
We were MUCH better when Cook was in the lineup. There are not "a dozen second stringers" who can threaten the seam like he can.
Only one I can think of, personally. Martellus Bennett.
I'd argue that would be solid value
Though something like this would be just as likely.
Just finished scouting division three college basketball players. Our secondary is going to be great in 2017.

LB HAASON REDDICK Is 237 lbs. What position would he play? I thought we were clamoring on for OLB's?

That's why I said so far. He might have been their worst lineman this year. He's young so maybe he makes a big leap.
Yeah! Beat out the Saskatchewan Rough Riders for Barclay!
"100 percent" confirmed on the Cook news, a source says. No #Packers and the standout tight end.

Interesting to find out how it deteriorated from close to a deal.

Called it yesterday...would be a good upgrade over last year's DE not named Daniels
What Cook news?
Former Patriots TE Martellus Bennett is signing with the Packers, per source.
β Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 10, 2017
There it is.
I'll take that.
Now if we could only get another veteran CB ...........
That assumed House signs.
So....kept the best available edge rusher in free agency and upgraded TE position. So far so good. Just need a steady veteran corner now.

UPGRADE, motha ****ers!!! Check out my last post before this one.
Hope they bring in Barwin for a look too. High motor veteran would add some attitude to defense at a decent price.
Upgrade at TE. I wonder if Ted had Bennett in his sights last year before Bill jumped in front and traded for him. We'll never hear it from Ted but he may have never had any intention of signing Cook and focused on Martellus. Only because Ted signing anyone on day two of FA is very non Ted like.

Nostra-goaline. I sure didn't see this coming.
AND he can block
Cook missed his chance twice
Not a white TE. No reason it can't happen now. Micah is gone.
On the NFL Network they said that Mark Murphy told Ted to go out and sign some free agents this year.
Extremely talented. Always thought he was a bit of a head case, but Rodgers will love throwing to him.
I was a big Cook fan, but this is an upgrade. Well done, TT.
multi year deal?
Resign Lang And draft a RB to go with Monty and Ripper and offense remains pretty stout, sounds like it won't happen but anyway Cook eats his humble pie and comes crawling back?
work to be done still on defense, ROTTT
Mark Murphy told Ted to free up a few game days for Brett Favre "stuff" and Ted told him to go **** off and scratch out some more Title town real estate.
I want Cook and Bennett damnit.
#mightaswellfocusonoffense
Wonder how Cook feels now? Snooze, you lose.

All the pants pissing that has occurred the last couple days, just be patient and let things shake out. Great signing IMO, very talented player and a great fit. He's got some head case in him, but so have a lot of great contributors for great teams...he's more of just an asshole and not a psycho.
I think this team needs a little more personality and swagger. Too many nice guys.
RochNyFan posted:Wonder how Cook feels now? Snooze, you lose.
I don't think GB had any interest in bringing Cook back. Probably a discussion that started in Indy with Bennett agent. Not on Cook. Good guy that was an upgrade last year. Bennett is just a better TE.
Fell into TT's lap.
Now that Martellius βI ain't never won sh!tβ Bennett has a ring, I hope that he is still hungry for another. He and James White were the only thing I liked about the Pats winning.
