No idea what Denver is doing.  Teddy will get the Broncos to 9-8 in 2021.  It also stunts any growth you were hoping Lock may have had this year, pretty much derailing his ability to develop into a franchise QB before his contract is up (no matter how unlikely that may have been).  And 9-8 puts them picking in the late teens/early 20's in the 2022 draft where a potential franchise QB won't fall to them and it'll cost too much to move up to get one.  So they go into 2022 with Lock on the last year of his deal and no one else.  Shouldn't be a surprise though, as Paton is doing exactly what the Vikings have done for years at QB - tread water.

The Broncos' QB list since Manning is truly Bears-esque.  Siemian, Osweiler, Lynch, Keenum, Flacco, Lock, Allen, and Rypien (leaving out the non-QB game this season).  Five seasons with 8 QBs and doesn't even include Mark Sanchez, who they traded for in 2016 to then cut in training camp.  This year will undoubtedly make it 9 QBs in 6 seasons.  And I'd be willing to be there will be a new QB in 2022.  Truly awful.

Don't necessarily agree the Broncos are 9-8 at best.  That team has talent up and down the roster and were extremely banged up last season.  They have a ton of cap room so adding Teddy is really not that big of a deal.  Maybe they want a vet behind Lock in the event Lock gets hurt or is ineffective.  I think it's an okay move for Denver with no real drawback.

Ravens feared we would take the Minnesota WR

Now there's an organization that knows nothing of how the Packers draft. When's the last time the Packers drafted a WR in the 1st round? When's the last time they drafted a Gopher, in the top 3 rounds? Kamal Martin was the last Gopher we drafted and he is a LB.

You know, Gute isn't perfect but I think he's perfected the art of headfakes. Remember when the Bears were convinced we were going to draft LB Shane McLellan (or whatever his name is) and took him ahead of us and he washed out in the NFL? I think the Pack was doing the same to Bateman.

Chicago head faked us when we moved up to grab Spriggs, too!

Yep, the Bears were rumored to want Spriggs.  They had to "settle" for Cody Whitehair who's been a really good player. Ended up eventually getting Spriggs too, not that it mattered.

And after Shea McClellin went off the board to the Bears, TT head-faked many Packer fans and the Minnesota Vikings alike by taking a 4-3 college DE who made it clear prior to the draft that he had no interest in playing OLB in a 3-4 scheme.

The Queens had to console themselves by drafting safety Harrison Smith one pick after Nick Perry ... and so began an annual run of TT defensive picks at the top of the draft that propelled the Green Bay Packers to ... annual playoff appearances in which the Pack's D was undone by the play of the team's QB.
