Quite possibly Adams broke off negotiations because he does not want contract talks to be a distraction as TC is about to begin? Perhaps he just wants to focus 100% on the upcoming season, without any other distractions.

The Pack could also franchise tag him in 22 if necessary. Thus, they still could have him for at least two more years.

I hope not. Franchise tag is bullshit.

I know lots of people on here denied what they saw, and shouted down anyone who pointed out that the fucking emperor had a small dick, but that offense was more explosive without Adams. Yes, he’s a great player, but he’s also a baby blanket for Matt LaFleur’s QBs. This offense is unstoppable when they spread it around.

Remember when the loss of Sterling Sharpe was the end?

Except he didn't manage the salary cap because he can't manage the players, particularly the ones who could give him a shit ton of cap space.  It's in the job title even.

Whoddathunk fucking up the relationship of one player, the HOF MVP QB, which is the most important position in sports, would cause such issues?

Dumb.

I'm looking forward to fucking MVS as the #1 WR.

I'm sure you take care of and listen to the proverbial golden goose.

Dumb Fucking Gunt.

Go ask any other GM in the damn league.  Or maybe go read all the articles Brandt wrote gently inferring the FO fucked up.

Now Adams.  What a malcontent that guy is amirite!

The idea is to NOT try to forcibly close the window on your Super Bowl chances.  That's the whole point.  Any other conversation about making the right moves on cap and age I would generally agree but these two guys are playing at such a level of excellence it's fucking absurd and fans are making excuses for the hamhanded FO.

You mean like last year?  Man, that Adams guy is such a drag on this offense.

Now the headlines are that Rodgers and Adams have the same Instagram photo of Jordan and Pippen fist bumping in their final season together. I understand we don’t know what’s really been said and what is happening, but, to my eye, it seems the behavior of Murphy, Rodgers, and now Adams is unprofessional, perhaps even juvenile. This takes a bit of joy away from cheering for the team, although I now live near the stadium and am/ have been a fan for life. The long-term health of the franchise is so much bigger than these individuals acting out in the media. Long story short, 2021 is a go-for-broke season, and after that, many changes are afoot. The team really does need a different President, and hopefully Love is the answer at QB, along with the younger, cheaper replacement for Adams, whoever that turns out to be. Go Pack Go, the organization will go on, even when individuals never do.

Completely agree.

Good thing they drafted Adams replacement in one of the deepest drafts at WR.  Amari Rodgers is a slot guy and I'm really looking forward to what he can do but he's not a #1.  There is no legit successor to Adams at #1 on this roster.

It's go for broke in 2021 for sure but with little to no help for the middle of the defense.  Again, praying and hoping Slaton is the next Johnny Jolly.

Go for broke?  Perhaps.  But the way the FO and Rodgers (and now Adams) are acting it’s more like you need to remove the “go for” and just use “2021 = broke” tag line instead.   I mean, just when you can’t think this whole narrative and situation can’t get worse they all up the ante.

Honestly, if a reset is coming why not get it over with ASAP.  Murphy and Ball can go sell used cars and trade Adams and Rodgers to the highest bidder.  Sure, 2021 won’t be much fun but neither will 2022 but at least we are one year further along.

That would be all fine and good if Murphy and clownshoes brigade were actually on the way out.  They aren't and they're the ones working to close the door on the two guys who are major factors getting you to Super Bowls.

Funny how that works.  Take care of the guys who win championships.  Maybe even listen to their input and go draft/sign guys for defense like Jrue Holiday.

Oh whoops, my mistake.  I was thinking of another team that catered to their super star with a supermax contract and doing everything they could to surround him with as much talent possible.  How'd that work out?

You get away with so much tired stank BS because you’re  a gorilla ass flamethrower..but you’re comparing apples to oranges with the Packers and the Bucks…NOT at all the same.

Hell, next thing you know, you’ll be tickling Mike Florio’s balls because he’ll post stories that will confirm your bias against the FO.

What haven’t the Packers done for Rodgers..if he has had this built up hatred, he wouldn’t have signed his last extension from Gute. If he absolutely hated LaFluer’s system, why didn’t he retire after 2019 like a little a baby that he was acting like.

Dude needs a constant chip on his shoulder like you need one up your corn hole everyday just to function as the Times Four A-hole…everyone gets it..

Hold it, wait a minute.  Let's get smurfy.  Basketball and football aren't the same?

Oh, you mean how the Bucks treated Giannis vs. how the Packers treated Rodgers?  You're absolutely correct, it's not the same at all because the Bucks didn't shit on Giannis making it clear they wanted to move on after 2021 by only offering a restructure.  Is that what a supermax contract is the in NBA?  Boy, I seem to remember all the handwringing before the contract coming up.  I can't imagine how Giannis would've gotten roasted if he chose to sign with a team legit setup to win a championship.  Instead the Bucks went and got Jrue Holiday to show a commitment.

Psst Norwegian Smurfy (whoever could you be?!), it's not about the money with Rodgers.  Pretty clear about that.  So what exactly could it be?  I bet it's just a tantrum by a super competitive athlete at the top of his game just wanting the spotlight for no apparent reason.  Not that he hasn't played the good soldier, worked with Mayo producing a prolific offense, it's just all about him being a spotlight hog.

"Kinda maybe" should've communicated better says the Gunt.

Think how much cap room the Packers could've had if they made a legit offer to Rodgers from the get go instead of the insult of confirming they wanted to move on after 2021?  Oh, can't "objectively" factor that in to this whole equation.  It's almost like the FO did it to themselves.  But hasn't everyone been saying "he has a contract so deal with it".  But now he's to blame for other players not signing because of his contract?  Man, I need a score card to keep up with you guys.

Hey, here's another thing Smurfy, I'm a smart asshole who provides takes and rebuttals to go along with my assholery.  I call bullshit, just the way I am and there's a lot of bullshit going on.

Again, I don't care if Rodgers is a flaming asshole.  This whole situation never should've happened in the first place.

Patrick Mahomes comments on Packers drama with Aaron Rodgers

“I think the biggest thing, and I can’t speak for Aaron and the Packers. But i think the biggest thing when you look as an outsider it’s all about communication. It’s all about respecting each other as a human being and communicating with each other. Aaron has played a long time for that organization and at some point they lost that communication factor. I think that’s where the disconnect just kind of happened,” Mahomes said.

Mahomes went on to praise Chiefs management, such as Brett Veach and Andy Reid, for always having an open line of communication with him as to their plans moving forward. Considering the organization is paying him a half-billion dollars over the next decade, it makes sense for Mahomes to have some control over his football fate in that time period.

What a prima donna bitch right?!  Shut up and play Mahomes.  And fuck your hair too.

🤣 every team jumping out in front of this story to declare how great their relationship is with their franchise QB. The league owes Mark Murphy a thank you, because Rodgers power play has exposed the house of cards that exists when you have a high $ franchise QB. The Packers were so rude that he can’t possibly stand another second in the building. Cool, sounds like a totally normal reaction to someone being rude to you. Very relatable for your average fan.

Get back to us when you're a couple of years away from the end of your career, not the beginning, Patrick.

Yes 100%. Mahomes has the heaviest dong in the league right now, he gets everyone’s full attention at all times. Rodgers is 37, does he deserve input in a team he wasn’t going to be on much longer? His contract spelled out the plan clear as day, a contract he also signed, so he certainly could see reality.

Rodgers, in his mid 30s with some injury history, was given a contract making him the highest paid QB.

Giannis is an ascending player in his mid 20s when given his brinks truck.

Absolutely the same.

What difference does that make?  Rodgers MVP season not good enough?  The old man should shut and play right?  The incredibly intelligent savvy MVP vet should have zero input because why?

Why is he even on the team if he’s so old and useless?  They could’ve traded him to some other team who doesn’t get that old guy MVPs aren’t the same as young guy MVPs and gotten a truckload of picks for young guys.

Seriously, I need a scorecard for the shit you guys gin up.

So Rodgers is done?

Not about the contract it’s about the bigger picture of doing everything to win.  The contract is just part of that equation.  Do you think Giannis would’ve stayed if they didn’t offer him the super max and didn’t go looking for more talent?

Would Wisconsin sports fans be calling him a douchebag, a greedy petulant spoiled pussy if he left?  Yes, they would.

Awww, you can let Fedya insult me.  I’m guessing he posted some 80’s Eurotrash pop video.

Touché my good man!  I’m sure I deserved it.
