I grew up in Wisconsin. Yet after many years of putting up with heat during my deployments and moves I kinda got used to heat. But most people who live in severe heat or cold spend a lot of time in temperature controlled environments indoors. I imagine that players would prefer living in a place that offers quality of life opportunities and I don’t see Wisconsin as one of those places. I know many don’t agree and love it there (Dillon) but my impression is most football players prefer to live elsewhere.

Actually why I loved about the desert heat was it was the opposite of Florida heat. I would sweat through 4 shirts on yard work day in Florida.

In Utah, I had some cooling shirts that you’d soak in water to start and as your hike went on, they dried. I’d take the dry heat all day long.

Now Sconnie winters? No fucking way, I’d rather live in a swamp in Louisiana.

Exactly.   You can go golfing in 115, just put a towel soaked in ice water over your head every once in a while.    When it's negative 30 with the wind chill, you can't do shit.

Now let me say this first, I don't like Colin Cowherd. Just never cared for him. BUT, he said something on his show recently that made me think... I understand the whole click bait thing, hell he made me click on the article and I can't stand him! But still...

Why didn't Adams thank Rodgers in his "Good-Bye" to Green Bay? I went back and read it again, and then again to make sure I was awake and it was true. Now he did say "Teammates", but if I was a WR who had caught 669 passes in the regular season and another 72 in the playoffs and a total of 81 TD's, was a big part of WHY I just signed a contract for $141 million, I'd at least mention the man's name....Hmmmm

With that said I AM confident in this team but mostly in Gute and MLF. I know MLF isn't everybody's favorite here after the last 2 playoff losses, but I still like him. I mean COMMON, he was a Offensive Coordinator calling plays for ONE season before be hired. There was bound to be some growing pains. OBVIOUSLY you hope he makes all the right decisions, but that didn't happen. Special Teams comes to mind and he should have did something after the Chicago Game at the LATEST, but probably the Bengals game. At the end of it all was the picture we've all seen 1000 times. Allen Lazard running WIDE OPEN across the middle. MLF can't make Rodgers throw the ball to Lazard in that spot. I still believe had Rodgers make that throw we're SB Champions but that's me.

Maybe it’s just me but seems I can adjust a lot more to the heat v cold.   When it’s -10 you can’t think straight and if your feet or hands get frozen that’s a miserable experience.  Wearing 15 layers also sucks ass.  Beyond that, the body aches and stiffness seems to get a lot worse in cold v heat.

Running or working outside when it’s hot and humid isn’t a whole lot better but honestly I’ll take 105-110 any day over 95 and 70 dew point like you deal with in the Deep South.

Utah and Arizona and New Mexico have some good options and there’s no humidity.

As for WI and their progress keeping roads in good shape that’s a joke. They move at a damn snails pace.  The upgrade to 6 lanes on I41 between Appleton and GB needed to be done like 20 years ago.  The upgrade to 41 on the west side of GB took like half a decade to complete.  Your tax dollars at work!

Interesting catch. Rodgers hasn't said a word publicly either has he? As petty as he is I'm sure he is feeling at least a little slighted that 17 chose Carr over him.

You just quoted someone who wrote β€œShould have did something.” It’s glaringly obvious you teach at a public school.

Are you my mom?πŸ˜‚ Woman taught English for over 50 years and she was so critical of shitty writing that I used to proofread my texts and never used shorthand. Then one day she sent me a text full of OMG’s and LOL’s.

We need a β€œdays of our lives” forum for folks to read into perceived slights of other grown men.  β€œWhy didn’t Devante specifically thank Randal Cobb, is it because he stole his Cheetos?”.  Why hasn’t Rodgers commented on Devante” followed by β€œRodgers needs to keep his trap shut regarding matters of the team”.

As an EX-HVAC mechanic, I'm used to wild temperature extremes. up on a hot roof and back down the ladder into a freezer and back. But now that I'm old my tolerance for that has gone away. 90Β° and 70% humidity? Happens in NY all the time now. Can't stand the heat. Wears me down. Hate the cold but add a layer and turn up the fire. Still enjoy a good old lake -effect snow squall!

I haven’t got all day to sit around reading that crap.

Wait. Why yes I do!

Make me a mod in that forum please.

Maybe I just haven’t been paying close enough attention, but in the last 15 years or so it seems like the weather calendar in WI has shifted more to the right.  Meaning summer starts later and ends later.

Winters have gotten warmer and shorter in WI, spring has been arriving earlier and will continue to moving forward.  Probably means summer is also starting earlier.

The humidity in the summer is what gets me.

Great Lakes region in general.  One of the largest contiguous bodies of fresh water on the planet.  Though it will start to get more stressed as more and more communities that lack resources will want to pipe from the GL.

I'm right in the center of the Finger Lakes.  You can have all of the water you want if you take these 2 stinkin landfills with you!
