The Green Bay Packers had a really tough choice to make. Either let their best and news-loving quarterback Aaron Rodgers go and spread the money around or retain Aaron at any cost and then try to cut costs as much as possible. They took the first option and it would be fair to say that they might be a little disappointed.

More jr.high like writing.  The 1st option as written was to let Rodgers go.   Then it states the Packers took the 1st option. So when did they trade Rodgers?   Christ Ya Ya if you are going to link an article at least make sure it makes sense.

I have been looking at a lot of last years games that I recorded. We almost lost a number of them. Adams was key in many of those wins. Sure we won games when he was out but let’s not diminish his value. When other WR’s were open it was because Adams was double covered. When others caught the ball it often was because their best DB was covering Adams. We can’t and won’t replace Adams. However, if Matt and Aaron can find plays that allows for other WR’s to get open then his loss is diminished. More check downs and crossing routes might do the trick. Brady has done that for years. I expect the Offensive line to improve when they are back to strength. So maybe the run game becomes a bigger factor. And the defense looks better than expected. The special teams will improve. However, this year’s opposition looks scary. I see a regression but we still make the playoffs. And that might be good enough.

Pete Carroll said re-signing DK Metcaff is "a priority this off-season" so getting him or Tyler Lockett seems unlikely.

I'd take Keelan Cole over Cole Beasley or even Jarvis Landry as they are both slot receivers, we have 2. K Cole plays slot but at 6'1 also plays outside and is P/K returner, great bonus.

Another free agent who plays slot/outside WR is ex Steeler Diontae Johnson, but he is 5'10'.

Johnson is still a Steeler for 2022 at least. He’d have been the best free agent receiver this year.

Maybe it’s just me but seems I can adjust a lot more to the heat v cold.   When it’s -10 you can’t think straight and if your feet or hands get frozen that’s a miserable experience.  Wearing 15 layers also sucks ass.  Beyond that, the body aches and stiffness seems to get a lot worse in cold v heat.

Running or working outside when it’s hot and humid isn’t a whole lot better but honestly I’ll take 105-110 any day over 95 and 70 dew point like you deal with in the Deep South.

Utah and Arizona and New Mexico have some good options and there’s no humidity.

As for WI and their progress keeping roads in good shape that’s a joke. They move at a damn snails pace.  The upgrade to 6 lanes on I41 between Appleton and GB needed to be done like 20 years ago.  The upgrade to 41 on the west side of GB took like half a decade to complete.  Your tax dollars at work!

One thingI will never miss about Wisconsin is the humidity.  I’ll take our 100 degree days over Wisconsin 80 degrees any day  That humidity brings an unrelenting chill to your bones that you can’t shake.  It so cold during winter for a period in Wisconsin that my brand new car wouldn’t start.

Colorado is even worse than Wisconsin, trust me.  Fricken pot hole capitol of the world.  On top of that, we pay outrageous registration fees.  Have a new car or less than 5 years old?  Expect to pay $800 - $1,000 + per year.  They go down the older the vehicle, but not by much and not very fast.  And whoever designed/designs or highways in Denver are idots.

We need a β€œdays of our lives” forum for folks to read into perceived slights of other grown men.  β€œWhy didn’t Devante specifically thank Randal Cobb, is it because he stole his Cheetos?”.  Why hasn’t Rodgers commented on Devante” followed by β€œRodgers needs to keep his trap shut regarding matters of the team”.

Steal my Cheetos and you’re going to pay.  Crunchy, not puffy.

Winters have gotten warmer and shorter in WI, spring has been arriving earlier and will continue to moving forward.  Probably means summer is also starting earlier.

Right?  Very strange.  Growing up a few blocks from Lake Michigan, I remember those lake effect snows.  Snow drifts deep enough that we’d jump off the roof of the house.  Dug snow tunnels all over the yard.  Played King of the Hill at school from the snow piles made from removing snow on the playground.  Good times.

...also, when spring finally does arrive, so does the rain and mosquitos.   Work all week, cant wait to get outside and catch some rays on the lake.

RONG... Rain all weekend, back to the bar for Jacks pizza cheese curds lard ass.

OMG, LOL.  I so remember looking forward to my baseball games and watching the weather all day.  I got so pissed when they got rained out.  Which was like every other game, it seemed.  Couldn’t count on anything due to the weather, sports, going to Brewers games, Great America, etc.  Totally a Midwest thing.  Weeks going by overcast…ugh.  I distinctly remember those times you talk about.  We don’t have much natural water out here, so I do miss the many lakes and cool towns nestled around them.  I also miss being able to stay in a cabin with nobody around for miles.  If there’s a body of water out here, there’s like a thousand people camping nearby.  And most of the time, we can’t burn camp fires because of fire bans.  That’s not camping.

And say what you will about YA, but at least he brings the thread back to the Packers.  Maybe there should be a separate thread for ice fishing, snow drifts, and brown cows or whatever that shit you drink is called.

That would be like walking into a sports bar and only being allowed to talk sports.   How could you talk about the new hot waitress or getting advice on throwing a bachlor party?

Well, you could talk about the hot waitress or anything else you wanted at a sports bar.  But you probably wouldn't interrupt a few people talking about a particular sports subject, say, like the Davante Adams trade, with "Hey, what type of filter is best for my furnace?"
