It doesn't really matter if it's Jaire, Preston Smith, or Rasul Douglas in coverage. Joe Barry will just line them up 12 yards deep on 3rd and 7 and have them drift backwards.

I think he could have prime Deion Sanders, Darrell Green, Charles Woodson, and LeRoy Butler back there and he'd still play the same defense.

Yes! This is perfect defense.....don't want to give up the big play!! Just tackle em after they cross the sticks 👏🏼

Some Coaches are fuckin idiots. Trying to force players into playing how the coaches want instead of adjusting to the players strengths.....aka putting a square peg in a round hole.

That will never work in today's NFL. This ain't the 60's/70's anymore.

So frustrating to see another drama play out with a guy who was a significant part of why the Pack went to 2 NFC Championship games in 2019-2020.

Let’s hope the relationship between Jaire and the Pack can be restored but it certainly doesn’t look like that is in the cards.  He was one of the few impact players this team had left from that 2019-2021 era of really good Packers’ teams.

Interesting that prior to the Gutey/WMM regime the only real organizational drama was the whole Bert dust-up.

Now it seems like every year there is at least one or two. The Packers had it pretty fuckin' good for a really long time. Shit was bound to come back around with the weak-ass leadership we have top to bottom.

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

I think the trading of Rasul hit Jaire really hard....and that sucks. 'Sul was clearly one of the leaders on this team.

And Jaire is clearly not capable of being a leader on this team…..and he’s getting paid millions to play football. I’ll give him the benefit of doubt that his injury is keeping him from playing, but if he’s sitting out on purpose because he’s unhappy with his coaches, then f*#k him!  Sit on the bench and waste your career for all I care.

Apparently Jaire has a grade 2 AC joint sprain. Usually 2-4 weeks recovery which is likely why they didn't IR him initially.

JA in press man can protect the shoulder, when tackling, better than when he's attacking the ball carrier from 10 yards off.

So, is he holding himself out because of this?

He's grabbed the money. He doesn't want to look like a fool following JB's schemes.

Would not be surprised if that's the case, and as a high paid vet who is very well recognized in the league he has the cache to do so.

If GB had an owner, they'd side with their high priced asset over any GM or Coach.

Just business.

Fans may not like it, but it's the reality.

He grabbed a whole lot less money than he should have. Despite signing the largest contract for a corner “only” 30 million is of it is guaranteed. The Packers got a great deal..

i dunno, do we really think there's something nefarious going on?  they guy is injured...if he wanted to get traded or whatever, he should just say so.  we can accomodate that in our current state.

But then why remove all the Packer posts off IG?

Some guys do shit like that regularly. You just don't hear about it unless the same player is supposedly disgruntled. If Jayden Reed does this next year you won't hear about it.

There could be fire with this smoke or it could just be smoke.

One would think it was his chance to become the defacto leader of the defense.  There were reports when Sul got traded that Jaire was looking forward to being the sole leader.  And the game after Sul was gone Jaire did do a lot to lead the secondary, more than he usually did.

What happened since then I have no idea.  Possible that when he got hurt and Valentine/Ballentine did well and we won those difficult game he got a little butthurt?  Who knows.

Possible he's literally just injured and that's all there is to it.  If it's anything more than that, time to ship him off in the offseason.  No player should be above the team.

Not till the offseason though.  We're past the trade deadline, so if he wanted to be traded, all he can really do is sit and sulk until the season is over.

If he is hurt he should be sitting, if not he should be playing.  For those OK with an anti coach protest what if the whole D refused to play ?

Inmates/asylum, can’t have that.

It's not as if they're playing D right now.

LaFleur said they miscalculated the injury severity/recovery, whatever. MiLF didn't seem to indicate there was anything more than that - i.e. didn't seem testy or irritated but the inquiry.

Nothing Jimmy Leonhard can't fix

Are we talking about Goldie?

I thought of that. But when your concerns as a player are falling on deaf ears.....that's also a problem that needs to be addressed by the head guy...MLF.

Him not firing Berry 🍓🫐 after the opposing QB puts up a perfect game for the first time ever in Lambeau should tell us all which way he's hitching his wagon.

It's a privilege to coach the Green Bay Packers. Berry should no longer have that privilege.

LaFleur is an OC at most, clearly in over his head as a HC. He’s like Ray Rhodes, but more animated and less gum chewing. Barry is maybe a position coach, but probably more an equipment manager. The coaching staff of the Green Bay Peter Principles.

The other thing to remember is there’s no live tackling required in practice, so the shoulder could be fine without that contact. In games, contact is kind of a given. OCs are going to go at him with runners and underneath passes.
